This too is a legally distinct Bazzite gaming box

After my Xbox Ally review, I never stopped testing. If Microsoft could get it to sleep without losing gobs of battery or crashing, it'd be a huge deal! But Microsoft wouldn't even admit anything was wrong. I switched to Bazzite, and it's like a whole new device. www.theverge.com/games/807711...

I briefly mention Framework in this, there's a good Gardiner Bryant vid that dives into that aspect of it. I worry that the result of stuff like this is that Linux will start to feel less like a big tent. youtu.be/gOhOT_mb7zc?...

I’ve been at a park for nearly a week, on tethered wireless, and I couldn’t help myself. I wrote about Omarchy, a high-profile new Linux distro with interesting ideas and, shall we say, complex optics. tedium.co/2025/10/13/o... new @tedium.co

With a bit of tinkering I have been able to get winapps to work on my #bazzite box. That's a little containerized windows VM running full-bore MS Office 365 as more or less a native app on my GNOME desktop. The Year of the #Linux desktop continues!

Some of the last reasons to stay on Windows have been gaming related. Both the time from installation to in-game and gaming performance on Bazzite are now actually better than Windows on many games, and living room usability is more seamless too.

Software is made by people. Trashing software is trashing other people's work. It's fine to have negative opinions about a piece of software, but you can just not use it instead of trying to publicly shame it.

just tried bazaar. it sucks. it is bad. almost let weird hype people and the bazzite gang convince me it might be better than gnome-software. no idea why, these people have the worst taste on planet earth.

The #Framework Desktop has been my favorite gaming device of the year, by far. This thing is an absolute beast, which is amazing considering it's an APU. Most games I've thrown at it have happily ran 4K 60hz w/ HDR, all while using 1/6th the power my desktop uses. -Continued-

Thanks for having me on, this was super fun! Looking forward to chatting more in the future.

Gardiner Bryant@heavyelement.com

Got a fun one today! I sat down with @kylegospodneti.ch and we chatted about the Fedora 32-bit thing, the state of Bazzite, Star Trek, and more! gardinerbryant.com/bazzites-kyl...

I agree with @frame.work This looks like to be the year of the Linux gaming desktop Us at Bazzite are very excited. I do however wish that you shipped to Norway, finding a laptop i will be happy with for a very long time that is just somewhat repairable is getting increasingly difficult 😅

Replying to @cooltw.ink

i've gotten some friends to try @bazzite.gg out and its remarkable the work they've done at making linux an OOB experience. like everyone that i've told bazzite to has been like "oh shit it really isn't that bad, you were right" it's not 2004 anymore!
