Let me share some positive news for a change: Despite all the gloomy headlines today, my understanding is that there are multiple paths actively being explored that would save Arkane Lyon. Anything can happen during negotiations, but at this point I'd be surprised if the studio is shut down.

So, I saw You Can See Everything yesterday, and my hot take is it's an incredible documentary that also has a thesis I don't find particularly interesting? Elizabeth Holmes can be a victim *and* a manipulative person at the same time.

It's wonderful that this film is a massive success, but we don't need to act like it's a forgone conclusion that it'll win best picture, imo. There's been a lot of amazing movies this year.

It's admirable that Bioware, a studio full of wildly imaginative and diverse stories, also came to be in Edmonton, Alberta - a deeply conservative part of Canada. That studio was proof that art can flourish no matter what the surroundings are.

I can't overstate how Bioware's success was almost certainly against all odds. If you don't work on an oilfield or farm in Alberta, you're considered a waste by most people there. For one of the most impactful video game studios to tell the sorts of stories they did... just unbelieveable.

Truthfully, I feel like Shin Godzilla's ending is so perfect that idk if a sequel could actually make up for unraveling the mystery and intrigue that would (at least to some degree) dissolve if there was more story.
