Yes, yes, along with his better-known roles and accomplishments, I will always be grateful to him for giving us the character of Enik (Eneg) in Land of the Lost: a show that was as much a part of my childhood as Star Trek reruns. Rest in peace, Mr. Koenig.

Damn, RIP Walter Koenig!

First video game I remember playing? Pong. Yeah, I'm that old. A Pong home system was also our family's first console, if I remember correctly, though we got an Atari 2600 not long after.

Fun fact! Today is the fourth anniversary of the #Padres eliminating LA from the 2022 postseason, albeit in the NLDS and not the NLCS. Today would be a great day for the #Brewers to do the same. And lookie there, they just took the lead.

This year, Yuki Matsui has made a career out of coming in to get the last out in the fifth, having the #Padres immediately take the lead, and earning the win. Will it happen again tonight against the #Brewers? We're about to find out. Will sign off and listen to the rest on the radio. Play ball!

I live a couple blocks from a local pub with an extensive back patio. It's fun listening to the distant roar whenever the #Padres do something good. However the postseason turns out, I think San Diego really needed this.

#Padres stay alive - wish I could say the same for my nerves. The #Brewers are relentless, top to bottom. It's easy to see how they won 103 games. Mad respect. It's like they always say: you gotta beat the best to be the best.

Introduce yourself with 10 acts or bands you've seen Live Rush Yes Indigo Girls The Nylons Stan Ridgway Hatsune Miku Alan Parsons The Who Blue Man Group Weird Al Yankovic (I tried to stick with groups I have seen more than once, but the last two were sadly one-offs... so far.)

Nier:Automata I wanted to like this so, so much, as it was beloved by two dear friends, but... it just didn't work for me, and by the time I was literally having to shoot the credits I just wanted to toss my PC out the window.

No hate, no dogpiling, just curious. For me, it's Skyrim. Don't know why, considering it should be exactly my kind of game, but it just didn't click for me.

My mother, the inimitable Jane Yolen passed away this morning after a blessingly short fight with Alzheimer’s. She did not suffer, and went peacefully into the ether which, I am certain for her, will be filled with words of the most exquisite beauty and meaning.

I can't say that I'll be boycotting Chili's as it has been years since I've been in one, and you can't really boycott a restaurant you already don't go to. That said, I'll be happy not to change my habits, transphobia leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

Not to defend Bill Clinton, but if they had actual proof of him screwing kids, they would have dropped it today. Instead, all they could do was post pictures and say: "OooooOOOoo, lookit THIS, Libs! Bill Clinton is a sleaze!" News flash: We know. Next?

Well, I guess I can see ol' Chuck's point. I mean, geez, all those previous Republican shutdowns hurt their brand so much that they now control all branches of the government. Wouldn't want to tarnish the image, no sirree.

I'm listening to the Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy BBC radio play and for some reason up until literally now I never realized the radio play came first, and for some reason that strikes me as even more impressive than just writing the book?

Step 1: Crash the economy. Step 2: Those who have the money to withstand the crash buy up everything from those who do not, for pennies on the dollar. Step 3: Profit. Endlessly.

Last year, our lemon tree died (victimized by gophers). Today, we planted a new lemon tree, along with a Catalina cherry tree. It occurs to me that planting trees could be seen as an act of pure optimism, because it's tacitly acknowledging that you still believe in the future.

One might think that a first post on a new network should be something pithy and/or memorable, but... I'm just too tired right now. Reached waaaay back into the closet of pseudonyms for Kyototh -- somehow it felt like a good idea to go with something from the Old Days. Anyway... here I am?

You are up to date.
