“Any politician who is not speaking about the role of Silicon Valley fascism in the destruction of our democracy is not someone who can be trusted.” Read “Silicon Valley’s Most Dangerous Innovation,” my interview with @capitalandmain.bsky.social capitalandmain.com/silicon-vall...

Campos: While I want to thank CBS news for funding this generous gift towards my education, I want to acknowledge how the recent direction of the outlet stains the legacy of Mike Wallace, the namesake of this scholarship.

Hi, @simonwillison.net I live in Sonoma County and am looking to calculate and display neighborhood-level historical outage data from PG&E. It’s for a local public safety initiative. I’ve found your work on GitHub and have questions. Can I connect with you somehow to chat?

Appalling move by Fortune. Absolutely horrendous.

Marisa Kabas@marisakabas.bsky.social

Fortune should be mortified—"A story by Lichtenberg sometimes starts with a prompt entered into Perplexity or Google’s NotebookLM, asking it to write something based on a headline he comes up with. He moves the initial drafts into a content-management system and edits the stories before publishing."

A Post he doesn’t own can stick it to him. The one he does, can’t.

Dave Jorgenson@davejorgenson.bsky.social

The worst part about this is that Bezos really does not seem to care. Instead of selling, he's holding the Post (and the very good reporters left) hostage.

Will continue to ask this question: where are the Editorial Boards calling for impeachment?

The Media and Democracy Project@mediaanddemocracy.bsky.social

POTUS now wages an illegal war in violation of the US Constitution and international law. Where is what remains of the Fourth Estate? Please thread Editorial Boards that have called for #impeachment of President Trump. 1) @sentinelcolorado.com (11/2025) 2) ? bsky.app/profile/medi...

Mary Walsh, a name almost no one outside journalism knows, is one of the most significant and righteous truthfighters out there! Her departure is a five alarm fire.

Oliver Darcy@oliverdarcy.bsky.social

New: As David Ellison prepares to take control of CNN, legendary CBS News producer Mary Walsh, who is exiting, sent a goodbye note to colleagues. In the note, Walsh writes, "We’ve been told to aim our reporting at a particular part of the political spectrum. Honestly, I don’t know how to do that."

I don’t know who needs to hear this but listening to an audio book absolutely counts as “reading” a book. In fact, I’d argue that listening to an author read their own work aloud is an exceptionally magical and even holy experience. I love it so much. Especially as my eyesight gets worse.

Fuentes then fantasizes about “breeding gulags”: “So just like Hitler imprisoned Gypsies, Jews, communists, you know, all of his political rivals, we have to do the same thing with women… They go to the breeding gulags. The good ones will be liberated. The bad ones will toil in the mines forever.”

Really impressed with the Olympics commercials for AI that keep showing me all the amazing things it can do, like tell me that Olympic athletes train for their events for a long time and other amazing secrets that can only be found by paying big money and draining a lake.

One more comment on the Post debacle: this hurts journalism broadly. Good journalists will go do something else. The rest will be fighting for fewer jobs and everyone will earn less. Fewer people will take up the career. The damage done is to the ecosystem, as well as the paper.

Do journalism, not stenography: ☑️Do not take DHS at it's word. The agency lies about everything. ☑️Do not minimize the massive force still in place IF a draw down occurs. Alt headline: "2300 federal agents to remain in besieged Minneapolis after unverified claims that 700 will be reassigned."

MacKenzie Scott could do the funniest thing right now….

WASHINGTON (AP) — Washington Post says one-third of its staff across all departments, not just the newsroom, is being laid off.

the guy who financed a propaganda film about the nazi first lady is killing a newspaper that writes unfavorably about her and her husband. this is how the club works.

I second. It’s not like any valuable reporting comes out of these things anyway. It’s all just antagonism and lies. (Should have happened after they revoked the AP’s credential.)

This post is unavailable.

100%. And when Trump blows off the second ask, a third reporter should pick it up. Don’t relent. These reporters have failed the public. (I’m still of the mindset that the whole corps should have walked out after he pulled the AP’s credential. Access Journalism for the loss.)

David Corn@davidcorn.bsky.social

The next question should’ve been: Why don’t you answer her question? It’s outrageous that White House reporters let Trump get away with this and act as if it’s normal.

The arrests of journalists Don Lemon and Georgia Fort are a test for every MSM member with a platform. If you are not voicing your outrage at this blatant violation of the First Amendment, you are utterly discredited as a journalist.

By who? Who shot the person dead? You saw the video. We all know a federal agent shot a man dead who was prone on the ground. Also, it's not "according to officials." It's according to verified video seen with your eyes. Not saying what anyone can obviously see with their eyes is a form of lying.

Twisted how they push corn tortillas while demonizing the Latino population. 🙄

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

Brooke Rollins: "We've run over 1,000 simulations. It can cost around $3 a meal for a piece of chicken, a piece of broccoli, corn tortilla, and one other thing. So there is a way to do this that actually will save the average American consumer money."

It’s giving “Tomorrow Belongs to Me.”

“We’ll Have Our Home” again is a song that’s extremely popular with white nationalists. It’s all over Telegram. I think the first time I heard it was from a video of a secretive group called the Mannerbünd.

Family friends were taking their tree down when they found A SNAKE wrapped around a branch. It’d been hanging out there for a MONTH!! After getting her outside they named her Sally. We all obviously still talk about her today. Gotta inspect the tree CLOSELY before she comes inside.

they don’t tell you when you buy a christmas tree at the christmas tree farm that you could take it home, decorate it, and then be relaxing in your living room seven nights later when A BAT suddenly flies out and starts CRASHING AROUND YOUR HOUSE

100% his old NY brain confused Magnificent Mile for Long Island’s Miracle Mile, a luxury shopping district since the ‘50s. 🙄 (Its location, Manhasset: Inspiration for East Egg, used for scenes in Wolf of Wall Street, Boiler Room, and in Miracle on 34th St., Mr. Gailey wants to buy a house there.)

If he never knows anything about anything, then why does the press keep showing up? Let him experience a room as empty as his responses, and the reporters can go do something useful with their time.

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

Q: What's your reaction to yesterday's purge of senior ICE officials? When is it time for Congress to do some oversight? MIKE JOHNSON: I don't know any of the details of that yet. I just heard about that, literally I was walking in.

The only excuse Lois Lane has for why her interviewing Superman isn't unethical, despite their romantic entanglement, is that it would be even more unethical for the paper's other top reporter, who is Superman, to interview himself, yet she cannot say this. This dilemma should be taught in J-school.
