Congrats Laurel Gabard-Durnam on the @infantstudies.bsky.social Early Career Award!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️ @laurelgd.bsky.social #ICIS2026

So grateful for industry partners like @brainsandplanes.bsky.social and @welcony.bsky.social / @magstimegi.bsky.social who prioritize inclusive, evidence-based solutions so we can all do our very best Neuroscience!

@magstimegi.bsky.social "tall" EEG sensor net in journal Sensors recognizing it as innovation in bioelectric sensor technology that reduces the impact of hair interference for #EEG and improves signal quality. Special thanks to @laurelgd.bsky.social for her team's study showing effectiveness!

PINE Lab is hiring up to two postdoctoral fellows to join our community in Boston summer 2026! If you are a senior graduate student interested in doing postdoctoral studies with PINE Lab, please submit an application here: lnkd.in/evTakygw

We have funding to support projects across a variety of datasets. Fellows may pursue any combination of projects to best build their programs of research. Topics of interest within the overarching theme of experience-driven neurodevelopment include but are certainly not limited to:

early neuroplasticity mechanisms (w/ EEG, MRI/MRS, or both), sensitive periods that scaffold language, vision, cognitive development (infancy-childhood), & parsing early experiences' influence (dimensions of experiences, caregiver inputs, adverse and buffering/promotional experiences, RCTs).

Very excited to share the first empirical paper from LEVANTE: we describe the LEVANTE core tasks, a set of nine open source tasks for measuring learning and development in kids ages 5-12 years. osf.io/preprints/ps... 🧵

We're collecting examples of funded F31 and F32 grants in Psych/Neuro that folks are comfortable sharing for a new section of our Resources website, please email me if you'd be willing to share! Small token and eternal gratitude if you do! L.gabard-durnam@northeastern.edu

We started this project to better reflect the complexity of lived experiences in development and help explain the wide range of individual differences in adult behavior and health following early adversity. Our data show measuring both promotional and adverse experiences together is key!

Laurel Joy Gabard-Durnam@laurelgd.bsky.social

Happy new year! If you'd like to start it on a POSitive note, we have a new scale led by Kelsie Lopez and now preprinted measuring dimensions of promotional socioemotional experiences in development validated for retrospective reporting in childhood, adolescence 1/n osf.io/preprints/ps...

across caregivers, close friends, and other positive adults in youth's lives. You can examine dimensions across social figures, dimensions within social figures, or sum scores within or across developmental periods flexibly to meet your study goals.

Division 7 especially welcomes research on this year’s theme: Understanding the Lives of Children and Families. Presentations considering children’s & families’ everyday lives & their communities’ strengths in support of their well-being are especially encouraged.

Applicants should have a funded independent research program and help contribute to our supportive and collegiate culture as an Institute! We support a range of MR sequences, integrations with other methodologies, and we are a highly-collaborative faculty! Join us!

🚨 THRILLED to share Northeastern University is hiring a new Director for our human Siemens Prisma 3T MRI Center (Associate or Full Professor levels) who will join us as faculty in our Institute for Cognitive and Brain Health! Please share widely! northeastern.wd1.myworkdayjobs.com/careers/job/...

We have longitudinal multimodal (EEG, MRI) datasets to richly characterize developmental plasticity and an interest in public health relevant prenatal factors (e.g. iron deficiency, prenatal stress) and postnatal factors: caregiving, music, and language experiences!
