Here's a lil plan for LelloActivities of October! From Rocky Horror Picture Show to Sylvari Cosplay, starting a first playthrough of GW: Factions, and multiple community events, it's gonna be a PACKED month!

If you ever have imposter syndrome, just remember that Vampyr has the line "your son's death was not fatal" and people will straight up say the game has some of the best writing they've ever seen.

People love it, actually.

I love Morrowind loading screens because it'll show you a picture of a worm warrior and it'll say "People don't like it when you talk to them with your weapon drawn"

A world where a twist ending is repurposed as a video title. where a thing's climax has been removed, leaving an advertisment for the gap where it used to be. such things are commonplace in. the twilight zone

Watched The Greatest Showman and if you liked that movie I hope you were 10 when you watched it because any other explanation makes no sense.

My flight from Gamescom got cancelled so I was stuck in Köln for an extra day and instead of a hotel I spent the night with a guy with a pup mask and I think we should do Gamescom 2.0 soon idk idk.

Video games are made by an enormous number of uncredited contract workers and outsource studios, often paid close to minimum wage and denied benefits. It only makes the news when they *also* lay off lead/senior/director level FTEs. Everyone else loses their job every ~6 months as a regular thing.

What’s a thing from your area of expertise (or special interest) that you think it would behoove everyone else to know?

We should really work together, hand and hand, to focus all of our community’s poorly-suppressed and totally ruthless bullying energy on the single demographic we all agree actually deserves it: Harry Potter Adults in the year of our lord 2026

The concept of Ai companies buying large amounts of physical books so that they can scan and destroy them should simply by a dystopian film. Not reality.

the US is that police officer who emptied his gun into his own car after getting spooked by an acorn falling out of a tree. the UK is the woman who put the cat in the bin

1 thing I love about children's journals and letters is that they have no reason to have any broader sense of perspective. From 2nd-3rd century Roman Egypt, the tween Theonas whines about his dad not taking him on a trip to the Big City of Alexandria: paidesblog.wordpress.com/2015/12/13/t...

"why does the UK change leaders so often?" there are diminishing returns wrt how long each vessel can house thatcher's spirit. by the end of the century we'll be getting through 1000 prime ministers a day
