Gago Hunters is a ton of fun and good opportunity @wsstalkback.bsky.social’s Sakaki to flex his gag comedy translation chops! In general too, I’m also happy to be bringing out more work from HERO’S catalog, since they have a ton of amazing manga!

🚨 NEW LICENSE ANNOUNCEMENT 🚨 Gago Hunters: Greetings from Amatsumizu City's Gago Suppression Squad by Sho Yunoko When mysterious creatures overrun Amatsumizu City, the mayor forces four citizens to become supernatural busters. But these girls might be even stranger than the real monsters...

I realised quite early in that I should have read Goldfish first, but I had to see this through. Going back for it shortly though.

247) Jinx by Brian Michael Bendis The absolute spirit of this enthralls me. Model-based photo reference and xerography forming the backbone of an inky noirish caper that feels scraped together by a sheer desire for the story to exist. Bendis’ flair for dialogue is strong here, absorbing stuff.

Yung Cuisine - lol no, but good album title Princesa Alba - come for Gay, stay for the rest of the album. Good pop.

Laila! - has come on miles since her debut (which I did not like). Good stuff, bonus points for Teezo turning up.

So far: Spike and the gimme gimmes - really fun, one of their best selections of covers. girl in red - nothing standout, all decent at worst Dead Gowns - some truly incredible low music for low people.

All of Kei Sasuga's Can I Live With You? to date is now available over on Manga Million, marking the first ongoing Grand Jump series to be as such.

Hybrid Theory is 26 years old today. One of the first three CDs I ever owned, and the first I ever spent my own money on. An all-timer that changed my life (and many others). I feel old.

Die Spitz, Bodysnatcher, and Chat Pile helped me through a rough episode last night. Today is more chill, a low hum of brain noise, and so Los Campesinos! are the appropriate choice. Relaxed.

Revenge of the Gator occupies the same mental real estate as Tetris, Super Mario Land and Alleyway as essential year one Game Boy titles, so this is long overdue.

I agree with this, but also, regardless of monetary value, it's a display of contempt. If you're aware that people feel hurt by this dumb trend and you join in anyway, it sends the message that you don't care about them. Seems like a fair thing to get upset about.

Not to beat a dead horse but i think people who say the Malfoy trend doesnt give JKR money so who cares need to consider Gacha companies comm artists all the time and theres no link to the game or anything the art itself is a positive promotion

Caught up on End of Life, so this is your reminder that End of Life is the best comic book coming out right now.

My reward for surviving Operation Zero Tolerance is a miniseries I never knew about starring Artie, Leech, Franklin, Howard the Duck and Man-Thing. A pretty good reward!

Lol said this without realising the reason Bachalo wrapped on Generation X was to move to Uncanny. Just in time for whatever the Maggott story is supposed to be...

Bee@letmebebee.bsky.social

Art-wise it's been a treat! Joe Mad, Carlos Pacheco, peak Chris Bachalo and Pop Mhan (though the last Generation X issue I read had Bachalo leaving the title, so downhill from here). Such a shame that the stories they're on are all scatty, distracted things that change details issue to issue.
