A new survey of 1,000 American adults found that the strongest supporters of transgender sports bans are not the people who admire women most: they are the people who hold the most hostile views about women. www.helenwebberley.com/news/transge...

The kid’s name is Nevada. The other kids are all older than him, but he’s still better than those other kids, whose parents called the police because it wasn’t “fair.” The family was escorted out by police, and Nevada’s registration in the league was revoked and refunded. Kick racism out instead.

They called the cops on this 3-year-old Black boy because he was kickin the white kids' ass on the soccer field.

One of the big findings in my research is that people invested in disbelieving victims are not swayed by evidence. Just like other issues of misinformation, they cherry pick irrelevant details to allow them to continue to believe whatever they want.

You know what pissed me off about the Ramaswamy ad beyond the obvious grotesqueries? There’s no EVIDENCE disputing Acton’s life story. There are court proceedings backing up her story. And all Ramaswamy’s got is the (accused) mother saying “nu uh” and somehow that’s enough? FOR THE REPUBLICAN PARTY

Pete Hegseth just appointed Elon Musk, Palmer Luckey and Newt Gingrich to help identify weapons, technologies and military capabilities the U.S. may need in future wars.

He invented the first mass produced VR goggles of any real quality and used the money to start a huge weapons production corporation, and he’s the #1 GOP donor in California, and styles himself exactly like this 👎

A friend and I interrupted him together at a rally in 2016, and we couldn’t find a time to do it in the first 45 minutes of him talking because so many people were there to do the same that we had to wait our turn. By the time police escorted us out, the crowd had thinned.

protesters disrupting the early part of Trump's speech have become a regular occurrence at his recent rallies. happened again just now, two in succession

Barcola was a little off it. Isak was himself. Wirtz taking strides. Rio is looking more useful on the right, but I think he scores or assists if he came on to the left wing. Nyoni is playing well enough but hasn’t the confidence to stretch the opponents yet in possession. Overall satisfied w 3pts

Nyoni, Koumas, and Ngumoha are all starting in the champions league, and I’m here for it. Fingers crossed for our injured lads’ recovery, but I’m excited! #LFC

Plenty of people saying Cheaty fans not to blame, essentially, they're right But I'm not hearing 'we were lied to', 'get out of my club', 'I'm ashamed of my club' or 'we deserve whatever we get' which I genuinely think loads of other clubs fans would be saying

Anybody else get annoyed with how biased the commentary was? They couldn’t stop falling over themselves to discount any possibility that cheating affected today’s match. As if an 11v10 display is both proof of their competitive level and their right to be in the competition right now.

Chris Kavanaugh is the worst referee I’ve ever seen in the premier league. I’ve never seen him referee well. Awful awful judgment. Just terrible.

To put this in perspective chestnut trees used to be dominant species in the United States. Billions of trees were killed by fungal blight and now fully grown America chestnuts are functionally extinct. There is no getting them back. Ever. All for a data center. www.gadgetreview.com/one-of-ameri...

The downtown Neiman Marcus flagship was one of the first major Dallas businesses that broke with these practices. In 1961, the company desegregated its Zodiac Room, a swanky lunch spot frequented by Dallas elites. Later, they welcomed Black shoppers to come and buy clothes without restrictions.

Some digital historian is going to wonder what people on Bluesky had against people named Julie to keep blocking them day after day.

I think we all need a reminder that passwords moving to two-factor authentication and then multi-factor authentication is a failure of the entire tech industry, and we deserve better. In the age of AI being able to hack everything, MFA doesn’t protect. It’s just a burden that won’t go away.

The judge’s opinion on this is amazing:“…in the exceptional circumstances posed by this case, the government has no right to retain the ability to compound the errors it has already made, or even to threaten to do so”

I try to mostly stick to my lanes when it comes to sports. I admittedly do not watch very much basketball (men’s or women’s) so if this thought has been done to death please ignore: Has anyone called Sophie Cunningham “JK Fouling” yet?
