On this day in 2003, Mars Express began its journey to the Red Planet. 🔴 Since then, it has given us stunning views of Mars, traced the history of water across the planet, and provided the most complete map ever of the chemical composition of its atmosphere. 🧪🔭

this is exactly what I imagined goes on in every public transit liker's head whenever they see a bus/train/etc.

After about two and a half hours.... I had focused on the wrong star and therefore was shooting an entirely "wrong" patch of sky 😅 At least it seems I got a few star clusters? #astrophotography

Today I released the first version of gchat, an IRC client written in Go. I have many future plans for the project, like adding a full TUI using a library like bubbletea. In the end, I want this to be a fully open-source for anyone to play around with. Check it out here: github.com/liampallett/...

this kind of llm neurosurgery starting to remind me of "The Mountain in the Sea", a cool book about artificial minds and octopi in the book they talk about walking through model weights as if they were a physical space, interesting to think we are getting close to that

The only thing missing from apple music over spotify (as someone who switched in oct) is continuity or whatever the hell it's called on spotify (sharing music status between devices) because there's been so many times im listening on my phone and move to my laptop and it doesn't follow? annoys me :(

This will soon no longer be an issue. This evening, I wrote an atproto handle service from scratch to be deployed on Cloudflare with Cloudflare Pages and D1 SQL Storage. This implementation is free, and I will opensource the project when I tidy things up a bit so anyone can deploy their own <3

You are up to date.
