if you want to follow ANYTHING from what elected Lula here in brazil, this is the most important lesson and change of mindset that happened here just don't give them the attention they want. let them speak amongst themselves and let us win by silencing them with our voices

The online part was important too, of course. We collectively decided to not interact with any right wing post or comment ever. Trolls and bots lost their power. This is a good lesson.

Isn’t it strange how a problem the cable internet provider’s chatbot swears “will require a technician visit, for which there will be a charge” vanishes once one threatens to switch providers? It’s almost magical how that happens.

[Freeze frame on Dracula tearing me in half] VO: Yup. That's me, getting torn in half by Dracula. I bet you're wondering how I found myself in this particular pickle...

Made benchmarks *and* wordcount on both projects today (the two are not the same), and am feeling like I have more in the tank. I may save it for tomorrow, though; it's always best to leave a little; keeping the pump primed, as it were.

Yet more outrageous BS from our tech overlords. And remember, they do this first to authors and artists. Soon they'll be doing this to everyone.

hey all i dont know what authorsdaily dot com is? but they have an "Interview" with me posted that i - never gave - is full of lies - has my wrong pronouns - is full of things i dont do - or would never say? so i emailed them and told them to take it down but jfc, i am tired

There's a couple different things here, of which the security issue is the largest. The article also mentions "'AI' agents" "optimizing the cheap deposits" banks depend on to extend loans, comparing it to a casino in which the house loses.

Which is, of course, no casino at all, and I suspect that paragraph is a bit of media poisoning by the relentless grifters pushing "AI" everywhere. Nevertheless, when the *banks* start getting nervous, it's a sure sign of the bubble deflating. (More of a wheeze than a pop, but still...)

Today’s run was an intense pleasure. Perfect weather, just enough fallen leaves, a Very Good Dog in a yellow raincoat, and a goodly portion of my zen is returned.

guess which square-headed canine dumbass lunged for a rabbit and got himself tangled in hops vine while still in his harness and strapped to Yours Truly?

So, if this really *is* the "founder of ProWritingAid", I guess now we know whose cash gift was the finishing blow for NaNoWriMo. Congrats? I guess?

Also, how DARE you come into my mentions with this pro-slop bullshit. Especially since the plagiarism machines literally stole from me, my writing peers, and my fellow artists at large. Go and (I cannot stress this enough) fuck yourself, sir.

For the curious, the above... "comment" was under this post.

So, wait, has NaNoWriMo rebranded as "Novel November", paid for by ProWritingAid, which used to be a spell/grammar checker but now is (you guessed it) an "'AI' grammar checker"--in short, yet another way for a griftslop machine to grab human-written text? Do I have that right?

*Long sigh* Yeah it seems like this is exactly what's up, actually. This new "NaNoWriMo" 2.0 is AI all the way. prowritingaid.com/novel-november Their website tries *real* hard not to mention AI, but then you catch stuff like, "...ran it through Plot Analysis" and yeah that's kind of a giveaway.
