Queer, Pagan Sci-Fi/Fantasy author from Long Island, NY. Tales Of Emor, Dystopian Review, The Progressive Cafe, FrostPDP.
Not a big fan of AI "art" unless it's made by a real-deal AGI Sapience that doesn't yet exist.
Hi there, I'm Jesse Pohlman. I'm a #Queer#Pagan author from Long Island, New York. I write #SciFi/#Fantasy. 📌
You can read all about my background/bio here: jpohlmanwriting.com/about
I tend to use my "Pinned Post" to track accomplishments, events, etc as a thread.🧵
What's that mean?
I wish we had gotten 12 episodes instead of 10. I wish that when the science division was like, "We'll give 'em a hollow!" they sent Chad in to stomp some shit. Wreck some face. That would've really done it for me.
More time w/the Vizored vs Gerard, maybe let the Big Three Captains finish him.
Definitely could've done some cool Aizen vs Ywatch expansions. The buildup was fine, but the payoff was a bit lacking. Or, rather...It was great! ...Except that it didn't feature a round two where Aizen joins in for the final struggle.
I dunno.
But Ganju being more critical than Chad was off.
Overall, the last episode was perfect.
For those of us who are interested, it canonized CFYOW (albiet offscreen), which is neat.
The next couple posts are about Cour Four in general.
Was the entire Fourth Cour perfect? No, but that doesn't mean it wasn't damn good!
They chose not to take opportunities. The pacing was really solid, but they had a little more room for more of our B-teamers to do more things (Lookin' at you, Chad and Aizen.)
Erica Hall does this kind of shit in #PhysicsIncarnate. "See the Humanity in each others' eyes." She has a license as a psychologist, but of course she's using Empathic coercion on everyone dumb enough to get into a room with her.
She cheated her way to the Presidency through that, after all.
I think one of the more important skills you can have in 2026 is knowing when someone is performatively using progressive coded language to argue for something that is fundementally not progressive because they can claim a perceived moral high ground.
my nuclear-grade AI hot take that’s sure to get me cancelled until kingdom come is that refusing to use AI at all is rapidly becoming an extremely privileged lifestyle choice that feels social justice-y while actually being the complete opposite
Oh and for those who say "elect the Dem and push them left:"
What happens when they're also outed as liars, and thus as someone who cannot be trusted to build a dialogue with?
Except maybe with Peter Thiel's version of Dialog? Nah I'm kidding - or am I?
I would not be surprised if Flavio and his buddies communicated electronically when setting up suppression efforts, and that those messages are in Lula's hands as we speak.
Flávio Bolsonaro had his passport confiscated by the Brazilian fed police as his brother Eduardo told him to flee to the US.
He is tied to paramilitary gangs, is being investigated & lost his legislative immunity when he left the Senate to run for president.

I really do think you should vote. Your actual vote is secret, but the fact that you voted is not. Being a regular voter means campaigns will try to win you over. The more trans people are regular voters the more likely it is that candidates will worry about needing to win our votes.
Wrote a thing. I won't pretend there's not a lot of anger and imperfection in that thing, so I'm open to polite correction and adjustment, and I know I'm a little outside my ordinary wheelhouse, but, yeah.

Hey everyone - Fark’s running an October subscription drive. We’re a bit short of our goal and could use a boost.

If you sign up for TotalFark this week you’ll get a special SOON badge. When “It Happens” the “SOON” badge will change to “It Happened!” Here are the two badges:
I often see things like Dems calling 'red' states "backwards-ass" and throwing down ye olde bigotry of low expectations to justify why Dems *have* to run on taking rights away from people, and...
I mean maybe if Dems actually fought for people's rights they'd see the errors of their ways? Maybe?
Amy fucking Acton LITERALLY refused to meet with trans Ohioans about her transphobic ads a couple of months ago, and members of the progress caucus resigned because of it.
Stop telling me these people are interested in "working with us"
This...
...Is fascinating.
There might be countermeasures to some of it, such as shadowbanning and/or "bot detection" like what happened w/No Kings, but it's definitely interesting.
These anti-trans Dems are saying "biological males" should be banned from girls sports because they know exactly how bad it sounds if they say "transgender girls" should be banned from girls sports.
They're using "biological males" framing as a sort of self-justification and self-soothing.
We must expect that Meta's interference is happening in other elections around the world *right now*. This isn't just a one-off. Meta has proved repeatedly they are committed to advancing far-right agendas worldwide, are serial liars, and are flagrantly indifferent to the dismantling of democracies.
Spaceships! Literally that's all this bundle is about. Awesome stories aboard and about spaceships!
I bring the interstellar body horror in a tiny lab ship!

You know what? I'm rethinking my willingness to vote for Kathy Hochul on three grounds.
1: Many I respect are using me to do so.
2: It would strongly help the WFP to vote on their line.
3: She's been good on Trans rights, I think? Correct me if I'm wrong.
If I'm gonna rule out voting for "Democrats" who embrace Transphobia (Suozzi), I should give bonus weight to Dems who I am very against that nonetheless don't sell Trans people out.
So if Hochul doesn't give in and start w/sports or some other shit in the next couple of weeks, maybe I'll break my vow not to vote for her again. Even though I really, truly don't want to.
This includes ALL genocide. Doesn't matter if the victims are:
- Palestinian.
- Ukrainian.
- Sudanese.
- Trans Americans.
If you aren't anti-genocide you don't get my vote. Period.
as much as i’d rather build something new, we have to takeover and gut the democratic party
all that infrastructure belongs to the people, not the loser ass DCCC consultant class that has reduced it to nothing since the clinton era
If you donated to Josh Turek without realizing he was running on a federally funded trans healthcare coverage ban, you can request a refund of your donation here: help.actblue.com/hc/en-us/art...
Josh Turek of Iowa, Democrat, comes out with one of the worst anti-trans ads yet.
Not only is it an anti-sports ad, it proposes a ban on federal funding for gender affirming care. That would hit all medicaid and medicare patients, and any ACA federally-subsidized plans as well.
Horrific.
Brazil's election is a Big Fucking Deal.
Everyone who follows me from Brazil already knows where they stand with this. And hopefully where I stand.
Kick that fascist to the curb.
Another week, another #Patreon post. We're getting closer and closer to me releasing some FREE stuff, so sign up (again it's free) and check it out.

I'm going to start a new career selling little rubber ducks to aspiring writers. That's how you run something through Plot Analysis - explain it to the duck.
*Long sigh*
Yeah it seems like this is exactly what's up, actually. This new "NaNoWriMo" 2.0 is AI all the way.
prowritingaid.com/novel-november
Their website tries *real* hard not to mention AI, but then you catch stuff like, "...ran it through Plot Analysis" and yeah that's kind of a giveaway.
So, wait, has NaNoWriMo rebranded as "Novel November", paid for by ProWritingAid, which used to be a spell/grammar checker but now is (you guessed it) an "'AI' grammar checker"--in short, yet another way for a griftslop machine to grab human-written text?
Do I have that right?
“It was just a phase” implies a fixed end point of the Self, which does not exist. We are all Becoming until we die; every ended “phase” becomes absorbed into your whole being
I'm pleased to tell you all that my #SciFi#SpaceOpera genre debut is in this bundle! It certainly represents a time in my life I was very hopeful about things.
Anyway, get Protostar: Memoirs Of The Messenger with theSpaceships And The Stars Bundle!
The Spaceships and the Stars Bundle is now out...! Has a lot of sci-fi novels involving spaceships.
