Words I never thought I'd say ever again: "The new Castlevania game is really good." ... And yet, here we are.

We understand the strength of feeling this AI Charter has provoked & that more explanation is needed. We will publish a blog tomorrow detailing why, in a vacuum of regulation, this charter demands more transparency & accountability from organisations on how they are using AI now and in the future.

Oh wow. Consoles as vehicles? What a crazy idea! Imagine if someone wrote a book where that happens, but on a larger scale. That would be weird.

Does my Speak-n-Spell feel pain when I type O-U-C-H? The jury is out. Philosophers and neuroscientists say that's fucking stupid, but I called a guy from the Center for Pretending that Household Electronics Are Sentient and he said there's no way to know for sure.

The world: We're all broke, have attention span of gnats, think Generative AI is a new god and all we need for entertainment, are living in spaces with no storage, and are depressed as fuck. Me (an obvious genius): ...I'm going to try selling books.

Trying something crazy and different this time. Going to try working on the character design before I write. Madness, I know.

My kid is getting into Deltarune, and I've been enjoying annoying them by calling Kris a Heartless and the Soul a Nobody. They understand just enough about Kingdom Hearts to hate it.

*long sigh* I don't even have the energy to attach the gif. you were the chosen one... You were meant to bring balance to the... web or whatever... not destroy it.

We believe an open web starts with choice. That includes AI models. We’re excited to be partnering with Mistral to bring open-source AI to Firefox Smart Window beta and expand access to France, with French-language support.

"Friend" in the group chat last night: I have an audiobook recommendation. It's worth listening to and refunding for the credit. Me:

Started a chronological playthrough of Kingdom Hearts because I felt like being confused, and because I only really played 1 and 2. Still find it funny that the main theme of the series is called "Simple and Clean" when it's anything but.

The graphics for OOT don't bother me, I was expecting a lot worse. ...but who the fuck thought it was a good idea for Navi to talk MORE?

Recent email I got: Hello [Author name, but with an error], I recently read your book, [made-up book I didn't write], and was particularly drawn to [unrelated info from said story]. It gave me the idea to create a fan project, [reference to fake book], as a tribute to your work. Can we connect?

Dear Boom Sonic, I'm sorry for any negative criticism I've ever had about your lanky design. Recent events have shown me how wrong I was.

Thoughts on Star Fox after a few playthroughs now: - Still fun - Star Wolf's got hands now. It's not that I'm more than 25 years out of practice. Shut up. - some of the voice lines aren't exactly the same, which irks me even if they're delivered better. - Leon isn't French anymore. Sadness

- and, of course, can we move on please? Give me the Krystal, the Aparoids, giant satellite Pigma, and most tragically of all, Panther Caruso. I'm one of those weirdos who actually liked Assault and Command (and Zero while we're at it, but that's not moving the story along).

The hardest part of being a writer was never the writing. For years I thought it was the marketing, but I have a new one. The scams, and the lack of trust when you're collaborating. That's a new one and it suuuuuuuucks. I want to trust, but this world is one where everyone is trying to fuck you.

Starting to feel like I'm getting played, but I don't have conclusive evidence to make a definitive call. Every red flag is explainable, but they're starting to pile up. If my suspicions are correct, I'm about to make an expensive mistake. If not, I'm tarnishing a reputation over nothing.

... Now, I'm not saying I built a shelf around my living room to display my amiibo collection. I am saying I have a very understanding wife who also likes these things, and a brother in law who knows how to build shelving.

I had a thought about writing an Isekai because it sounds fun. Then I realized I *kind of did with Technosiah, just it's not the main character who got brought to a new world to disrupt everything. Sure, there was no truck involved (all the regrets), but the main mechanic changes are there.

Man, I don't get annoyed when folks try to scam me. That's expected on the Internet. What annoys me is when there isn't any effort put in. If you're going to try to fuck me, buy me lunch at least.
