You know what’s nice? When a dog moves from one end of the couch to the other, knocks a pillow to the floor, and squishes in just so she can touch you while she naps🥹

I see we're having a debate about whether it's okay to go back to "X," the site owned by a trillionaire fascist who is currently bankrolling the GOP's midterm, throttled Ukraine's war effort, and still winkingly allows vast amounts of CSAM on his service Answer: No, what the fuck is wrong with you

Your semi-regular reminder that we, and most bookshops, have a plentiful supply of clean, strong boxes should you need them for moving, storage, building forts, overthrowing the patriarchy etc.

Just helping with editing here. These bots aren’t sentient. They’re doing what they’re programmed to do. OpenAI, a private company supposedly bound by laws, committed federal crimes.

I not sure my kids appreciated my “My sciatica is bothering me today and I am butt-hurt about it” joke. Moms can make dad jokes, too! Sciatica=no fun ☹️

The age old question: buy ink or replace the printer? Yes, I do have to waste ink running a head realignment monthly, but will it be any better with a new printer? Just a different annoyance probably More ink it is!

Good morning. Trans people and immigrants aren’t why your grocery bills are high, your gas is expensive, and you don’t have universal health care. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to figure out the real reason, and vote for those who actually want to fix it. 🇺🇸

Just made (separately) hard boiled eggs and garlic confit. Too bad I don’t like sauerkraut. I was so close to the hat trick for “overwhelming household aromas for the DIYer”

Your little oopsie "mistakes" had me worrying for a year of my life about my partner going to jail for up to a decade based on lies likely fed to you by the top of the federal government. Show everyone what you're covering up in these emails and texts. There's a reason you don't want them released.

I cannot overstate how much I hate when people are dicks about babies crying in public (especially airplanes). Do you think the parent is having a good time right now?? Do you think they are not aware of the situation??? Are you going to negotiate with a literal infant????

At DMV. A guy at one of the windows has paperwork issues (sounds very sketchy to me, and I don’t even work here) and keeps blaming it on “it was piss pouring raining that day” I hope the DMV person responded “Signatures are required on pissy days, too.”

I will not accept an argument that art and creativity have been uniquely democratised in the last few years since the invention of genAI. What a disservice to human history. How little regard you must have for the billions of souls that struggled through unimaginable suffering to express themselves.

The women have won four World Cups, but absolutely congratulations to the men for making it to the knockout round. Yes, this is a reminder that the USA has, in fact, won a World Cup — four of them. In case you heard otherwise.

It's hard to be excited about the Artemis III mission announcements when the CEO of the company making one of the mission's rockets has spent his week inciting racial violence via his personal social media platform.

i post this every year because men soaking in toxic masculinity are all “why can’t we get women” and Tom Holland dances in drag and lands one of the hottest women on the planet, maybe there’s a lesson here guys

"Do you regret your heated rhetoric?" "No. Do you regret your chilled rhetoric? Do you regret sitting on the sidelines as norms fell away and so many laws were broken? Do you regret pretending like this was all normal and you alone were savvy enough to see that Both Sides Are To Blame?"

Someone with the handle @velocity69.bsky.social is sharing a video with the caption: "The highest quality video of the moon was just released… so beautiful * Artemis II" It's gone viral, but it's not from Artemis II. If you've shared it, you might want to un-share.

If the estimates were right, there were about 9 million people at No Kings rallies today. That would mean this protest was THIRTY TIMES AS LARGE AS THE TEA PARTY PROTEST which we were told, over and over again, was a massively important sign that US politics had shifted dramatically to the right

Kevin M. Kruse@kevinmkruse.bsky.social

Again, the first Tea Party rallies in April 2009 -- heavily promoted in advance by Fox News -- only had about 300,000 attendees across 750 cities, but the media treated it like the Second American Revolution. There will be multiple *individual* No Kings rallies today that have more people at them.

Attended a protest for the first time today. Someone must’ve organized a “drive your granny past the protest” event. So many beaming elderly woman waving at us. #nokings
