He seems to be blaming Islam, but it’s garbage either way, see previous post and any relevant history book. And of course RFK Jr. criticizing anyone for supposedly not understanding science is just beyond irony.

The Bulwark@thebulwark.com

RFK: "There's five hundred million Arabs in the world. And yet they don't produce science. They don't win the Nobel Prize. They don't win the Fields Prize. They don't win the Wolf Prize. They don't produce literature."

Garbage. They don’t list Nobel laureates by race or religion, of course, but <5 minutes of looking turned up Omar Yaghi (Chemistry, 2025), Ahmed Zewail (Chemistry, 1999), Naguib Mahfouz (Literature, 1988), and Mohammad Abdus Salam (Physics 1979) plus multiple Peace Prize winners.

The Bulwark@thebulwark.com

RFK in Michigan: "Mike Rogers was talking about the Muslim Brotherhood. That's something I can talk about…Islamism, which is the ideology of the Muslim Brotherhood, took over…That's why you don't see any Muslims, any Arab Muslims winning the Nobel."

Norway.

Scott Horton@robertscotthorton.bsky.social

On the campaign trail in Port Huron, Michigan, Trump flies into a wild rage against the Kingdom of Norway, escalating his invective in increasingly vulgar terms. He called Norway a ‘shit house country’ and said Norwegian immigrants are not welcome because Norway has not awarded him a Peace Prize

this is total gobbledygook? the process to decide who should be certified as the winner is the election, and there is no federal law that says the courts get to decide who that is.

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

Blanche on CBS says his suit against Alaska is "asking the court to step in where the Alaska Supreme Court didn't, which is to look at federal law and if necessary to allow a process for Alaska to decide who should be certified as the winner." (So, the voters won't get to decide. Got it.)

If someone has more than a billion dollars, anything beyond that should just be confiscated. It threatens democracy because it gives one person far too much power and it’s probably mostly stolen anyway. If they complain, you can just say, “you still have a billion dollars.”

That it'll fail because they lack sufficient consolidation and centralized control does not make it trivial that the president of the United States is trying to steal elections and produce an illegitimate sham Congress. It is open rebellion against the Constitution and morally tantamount to treason.

I cannot get my head wrapped around how terrible an idea protecting individual headnotes is. If a headnote is not extremely similar - not just substantially, extremely - to the language it relates to, it is literally worse than useless. Protecting them is utterly bonkers.

The Questionable Authority@questauthority.bsky.social

As bad if not worse: the court also appears (by my read) to have held, for all intents and purposes, that the headnotes are individual works - at least for assessing the 3rd factor. Breaking works down like that artificially shrinks the work, making the 3rd factor favor fair use less often.
