Blanche on CBS says his suit against Alaska is "asking the court to step in where the Alaska Supreme Court didn't, which is to look at federal law and if necessary to allow a process for Alaska to decide who should be certified as the winner." (So, the voters won't get to decide. Got it.)

oh no, don't show them the ballot, which is designed to NOT confuse anyone. NO, you are lying, get that off the screen, no no no nononnononooooooooooooooo.

The ultimate question. State & Fed Govt share power. Federal power is actually weaker. Deliberately limited by enumerated powers. Only state constitutional convention can change the constitution. This federal government, SCOTUS, Exec branch, is trying to end state power @nicollewallace.bsky.social

yeah, that's the similar bogus assertion as the NC congress tried to decide who should be sent to DC as electors in 2020 presidential election. needless to say, the NC congress is Republican.

These guys absolutely do not understand how elections work. They sue and hope for a miracle. The same thing that was done in 2020. It’s why they lost so many election lawsuits.

Arrangement surfaced amid high-level talks between U.S. representatives (including Trump, Jared Kushner and Steve Witkoff) and Russian President Vladimir Putin regarding potential sanctions relief for Russia's Arctic LNG 2 project in exchange for Novatek's involvement in the Alaska venture.

Blanche belongs in prison. The Alaska Supreme Court upheld that candidate Sullivan met all constitutional parameters and was legally qualified to appear on the ballot. State election bodies do not possess the authority to invent arbitrary fourth qualifications or read a candidate's mind.

Stfu Blanche, you do realize Trump isn’t around forever and your not so smart self is going to be charged for being his personal lawyer and not the people’s attorney and for being corrupt, don’t spend the money trump is paying you we want it back!

The process to decide is the election, a thing that the federal government plays no part in until Alaska sends their certified results to them, at which point it has already been decided. Also, does he really want to be out here saying “we Republicans are so dumb that we can’t tell who we’re voting”

Three choices and the 1st two don't count. Of course, kick-backs for the Grifter In Chief and all his bootlickers in the Administration.

Todd, buddy, the Executive is deliberately left out of the election process by the Constitution. I understand you and the Regime are only vaguely familiar with the Constitution, but there it is.

As a Canadian, my understanding of all this is superficial. I must be missing something important. I was under the impression that the constitution gives the role of certification, like the running of the election, to the state & the the feds have no role. But I'm not a high-priced lawyer like Todd.

What a little snowflake - if she won’t let him lie and show facts, he’s going to interrupt, say what she is showing in black and white is not true, and wah wah wah. ffs

those hard drives full of rape videos and testimony have duplicates and he can't hide them all.

Blanche saying “…there could be a crime…” is not enough to justify federal intervention. There isn’t any evidence of a crime.

Blanche is ACTIVELY assisting in an election theft. NOW. ONGOING. Demands voter rolls. OK with Trump’s “Abbot, give me 5 more districts” Setting off a gerrymander competition Intimidation at the polls To election officials “Our way or we will indict you.” Etc !

Just watched the interview. Seemed that Blanche was nervous having to answer some of the questions and showed it by being belligerent. His usual smirk was gone and he talked a mile a minute. Was great to watch Blanche squirm.

Painfully weak statutory argument that Trump has been on the opposite side of repeatedly. They need to throw these words in DOJ’s face every time DOJ argues that you can only enforce the specific words of a statute, not its supposed “intent.”

Alito: Clearly the original meaning of the constitution is that Alaska in particular must only have Republican senators Thomas, Kavanaugh (drunk but conscious), Gorsuch: Concur Roberts, Barret: Concurrence that doesn’t make a lick of goddamn sense Kagan, Jackson, Sotomayor: Literally WTF

Call me crazy, but isn't that the purpose of having elections? Voters cast their ballot, ballots counted, candidates with the most votes win therefore deciding by majority of the votes who in fact they are certified to represent them. What am I missing?

There is no federal law that applies and the Alaska Supreme Court already decided the candidates could appear on the ballot. bsky.app/profile/atru...

Blanche is showing his incredible lack of professionalism and his whiney subservience to a thing he can't fully justify. 🤢🤢🤢🤮

they're praying to god, and working on it themselves, for a puny voter turnout. huge voter turnout would render this non-existent. look at hungary, serbia, brazil... dictators (the loud minority) fail if most of those who are eligible to vote - actually vote.

Federal law? There is no federal law that allows the DOJ to interfere with Alaska's election, until Congress passes one, which it never has.

The only possible issue here is voters being too stupid and uneducated to read a ballot, which is an understandable Republican concern, since voters that extremely stupid and uneducated are overwhelmingly Republican.

The Constitution is clear... the only exception to each state fully controlling its elections is through legislation passed by Congress. Blanche knows this but he doesn't care, because like all Republicans he despises the Constitution, and is also a criminal.

I hate to agree with this creep but this is just a cheap and dirty trick to fool some careless voters into possibly tipping the results. Reps tried it with John Lewis in the 80's; it didn't work. The butterfly ballot in the 2000 election worked better and gave the election to Bush.

Lisa Murkowski should just change parties right now. If Schumer isn’t talking to her hourly, then he’s got no vision. This is a massive insult to Alaska and Alaskan Republicans

"Yeah but that's state law, That's STATE law" You were expecting a state Supreme Court to decide what, Galactic law, Biblical law? Fed law doesn't ban two people with the same name from running, so long as it's unambiguous. If Alaskan voters can't read (R) that's quite the self own

There is a process for Alaska to decide who should be certified as the winner, it's called an election. There is no federal law that prohibits a candidate from running because their legal name is too similar to another candidate's.

I’ve seen the Alaska ballot. Their names are written differently and one is annotated as “(registered Republican) Incumbent”. That gives Alaska’s MAGAts 9 days to research the meaning of “registered” and “incumbent”, and then learn who their current senator is.

Exactly what law is being broken by two people running with very similar names? Ultimately, that is what DOJ is alleging.

In other words, the courts of Alaska have ruled on the issue, and their decision should foreclose a new effort by Blanche to get a different ruling. And he's still not saying how the United States has standing to interfere.

Alaskans could be “confused” when they have to think for themselves ? Bet Alaskans might take offense to this and vote overwhelmingly for Peltola. Even if I was not going to vote for her I would now.

Of all the amoral motherfuckers in the legal profession who ever needed to be disbarred, this motherfucker needs to be disbarred the hardest.

There will be violence if the Federal government attempts another coup. Period. Full stop. They will not come out unscathed next time.
