just found a piece of kapton tape inside of one of my socks... some time ago I got soldering stuck into one of my nail's polish... i am a robot girl!

I would really love to be able to work in a project long-term because, although I'm really grateful for every job opportunity I get, I feel it could allow me to grow so much more as an artist.

Also, even if the working hours are the same, everytime I have the chance to work on something more long-term I realize how tiring and stressing is to have to juggle multiple clients and projects at once, both logistically and emotionally.

also, i don't want that place gentrified! they have lots of delicious and cheap food, and the cashier knows me and gifts me bok choy or snacks and when doing so she is always careful to assure me, without me ever daring to ask, that those are vegan too!

time is healing these wounds when it comes to looking back on these games, retrospectively, but i do think it's the right move to avoid incorporating continues as a default functionality if you're shooting to make a new "arcade design" game for home release

It's a lesson on how much these systems can shape player perception, not just of an individual game but of entire genres and eras of gaming. In the case of beat 'em ups, the continue system literally flattened them to the point where most people can only distinguish the themes.

and then, the (incredibly built) stick I have now is for the ps1. so i would need either to mod it to work on pc or get a new one. not a cheap setup!

i would kinda need it tho, if I want to 1cc shmups. trying to do that on the deck was miserable on my left (dominant, already worn by my profession) wrist.

my current idea is to get a dock for the steam deck, but i would also need a monitor and that's a bummer because the deck's (I have the oled model) screen is so good. so it would cost a bit even if I get just a led one but with a good refresh rate.

to weigh in on the arcade game discourse earnestly: i’ve been slowly getting into them more and more lately, playing both shmups and beat em ups, having a great time with both and i think they’re extremely inviting and fun and rewarding even and arguably especially at lower skill levels

First blood tests came back after switching to DIY HRT and I've aced those levels! Super good E levels and adequate suppression of T without needing T-blockers! Hell yeah!
