Each such delay is a new Russian hit on one or another object. Unfortunately, strikes occur every day. Russia is constantly taking new escalating steps. We need pressure on Russia and real support for Ukraine to change the situation.

Crude oil that was refined in Scotland and exported to England as refined (and thus, more expensive) product is now shipped to England and refined in England, reducing Scotlands net export value. Further, more expensive refined products are now exported to Scotland from England! It’s a GERS thing.

My heart is heavy. Walter Koenig, our Ensign Pavel Chekov, passed away early today. Walter and I met on the bridge of the Enterprise in the 1960s, and we stayed friends for nearly six decades. When Brad and I married in 2008, Walter stood beside us as our best man.

This is big news for the Balkans and Europe. Vučić gambled and lost to a young democratic student led movement. Could we finally see some progress toward Serbia and Bosnia joining the EU?

The long-serving strongman leader of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, has conceded defeat in an election that pitted him and his right-wing party against a diverse student-led opposition movement that spent two years protesting his government.

I work in R&D. On whiteboards in empty meeting rooms I often scrawl bizarre notes about e.g. fluid mechanics equations and hamster anatomy and continental drift. I like to think someone gets baffled when they see it.
