MadBeardMan ➡️ Dragonmeet

All the new miniatures in our Heroes of the Dutch Resistance Kickstarter - look at them there. Each figure is based on a real person who risked it all to fight fascism. Please help me spread the word. www.kickstarter.com/projects/bad... All hand sculpted & hand cast in pewter

Pushed final changes to my home-built IHD (internal heads-up display - replacing the smart meter version), which I use to monitor my house electricity and gas usage. I completed the coding around plugging a new solar-charged battery and now the I can put my tools down for a bit, phew.

Am really looking forward to this baby.

Sometimes I think our Council in Sheffield watched 'Field of Dreams' too much, and believes, if you build it, they will come. I walked through town earlier, so many empty shops yet millions being spent to make the pathways more modern (looks much nicer). www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

Electronic Arts - a pariah on game studios and I had a glimmer of hope for the next Mass Effect game, but that's dead in the water. www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

Hello people, I am returning to work after a time of burnout and I am doing some emergency commissions of isometric characters so I can pay my bills this month, the plan is to have around $450, more is always welcome, if interested in some characters send message inbox or to rayblanco0@gmail.com

Feeling very down today, really down, but I don't want to hoard my positive energy. Sending positive waves to all those that need them more than I.

It's Friday, what a week. Day off Monday to recover from #Furnace RPG convention (oh, I'm still buzzing about my Hellboy game). Tuesday and Weds, Migraine season, Thursday child support, Friday - we're in School to ask why a SEN school can't take care of a SEN student (again).

I'm selling off my Mordheim terrain to help make space in the attic (for other stuff...) www.ebay.co.uk/itm/90001563... Would appreciate any reposts etc!

I need to make a decision about #Grogmeet in Preston in just over a month + a week. The decision isn't mine to make of course, living with a family of awkwards (but all lovely), every day can be chaos (thanks! Neurodiversity) leading to unplanned non-adventures. I can but hope, and I plan to go!

Another favourite film of mine. I have a giant poster on my wall in this room, of when Mononoke is riding her wolves into battle.

One of my most favourite films of the last few years, such a fun ride and it feels like an RPG session. I'm not sure why people don't like it. Silly them.

@penfoldblue.bsky.social - bizarre, we just talked about something like this on Saturday!

Super happy about my #Hellboy @nightfall.games game that I ran at this years #Furnace RPG convention in Sheffield. Thanks to @penfoldblue.bsky.social for coming up and playing in it. So, my brain has told me to write a second adventure for the same team, this time things happen in Northern Italy..

@ohmyz.sh You folks are amazing, it's working great again on my Mac Mini, my MacBook Pro and my work MacBook Pro.

Had to head home a game session early (gutted) from #Furnace RPG convention, broken heating in the house, darn boiler was serviced 2 weeks ago. Anyway, had great games, played 2, GM'd 2. Will return next year schedule permitting! @firstage.bsky.social - Pass my thanks on to all!

Anyone going to #Furnace this weekend, heading to the amazing city of Sheffield tonight? Just to let you know, I and @penfoldblue.bsky.social will be in Perch (a bar near the centre of town) from 7:30 for pizza and beer and chats. www.welcometosheffield.co.uk/content/food...

Getting fed up with seeing these things, even though this is unknown and the advice 'change your password'. FFS, you can change a password, email, or bank card YOU cannot easily change your name or your address, and you cannot change your DOB. www.bbc.co.uk/news/live/cj...

Nearly all handouts are done for my Hellboy game at #Furnace next weekend. Some things, like this B.P.R.D. letterhead, have taken far longer than I wanted, but it's done now, and of course, I now have a dozen more ideas for a follow-up to my adventure, The Church of St Anne, but all done (bar 1).

Finished work for the week, a day late. Phew. Handouts for next weekend this weekend.

A crap week at work, and working tomorrow on my NWD again. Feels like I'm fighting uphill again, but green shoots today so next week should be better. Just remember, all of you are ace, ignore anyone who tells you otherwise.

Zero Dark Thirty Kathryn Bigelow

Not often I say anything much about Religion, it's not for me, but this, why would people do this? Broomhill is about 0.75 miles from me here, I may go and see them next week and give my support (and help) to replace it. www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

Heads-up for fellow CRPG dungeon crawler fans as one to avoid: this one is made by ban-evading neo-nazis.

And here's me not wanting to break my Kickstarter (and other) ban, but oh my.... need to save some pennies me thinks.

Anyone who wants to wargame with late Feudal Japan and all those lovely Samurai and bows and Katana, then this is your fix, and it's free in PDF form.

If you are attending KamCon and are playing in this, I am jealous of you. Enjoy though, and really enjoy.

My 9 Games (a good view of them over my adult life) 1. The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings - Collector's Edition 2. Dragon Age: Inquisition 3. Dead Space 4. BioShock 5. Elite 6. Mass Effect 2 7. Resident Evil 8. Tomb Raider 9. Borderlands 2 #My9Games my9games.com/en/s/7d11a90...

I don't have any nice words to say about people who steal from charity shops. Surely the BBC shouldn't blank this persons face, so someone can report them. www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

Original Resident Evil players will understand the naming of this, looks fantastic as well.

Also spoke with GDS today, about asking them to host framework components (React/Vue) on the GDS website. Early days but I think it'll be coming folks. This means that you'll get React/Vue wrapped HTML components - fully tested by us and then handed over to them.

Started learning Amiga A500 assembler yesterday, I got the point where I understand the various registers and some of the basics, what I want to ask my 40 years ago self - why couldn't I grasp this back then, it's farily simple. Still a long way to go before I can say I know 68000 assembler.

Of course, as I carer towards another orbit of this planet, I had such plans for doing some TTRPG stuff, handout creation and things for my games coming up at #Furnace, but after a week of work (and working for 1/2 day on my Day off) I'm knackered and my brain has said 'No, ignore your plans'. Sigh.

Youngest is out in a pub with friends (I did my job people, she wants to keep pubs alive), better-half is sat reading a book (she's a massive consumer of books). I'm listening to music and planning my weekend of handout creation. Such an amazing album from Devin. open.spotify.com/track/2Z7dx5...

Very surprised to see Delta Green: The Millennium embossed hardback turn up in the post. Was not expecting this? Thank you from sheffield in the UK! @drgonzo123.bsky.social @shaneivey.bsky.social leisuregames.com/products/del...

Have I missed the next Grogmeet already? @thegrognardfiles.bsky.social

Sigh, the BBC is missing out on facts again, yea Pulp, Arctic Monkeys and Bring Me the Horizon, but no mention of Def Leppard, sigh, pour some erm something on them. www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...
