At Strathclyde Law School, we're committed to developing innovative programmes to equip people with knowledge and skills to succeed in a rapidly changing world. We also recognise that flexibility is important, particularly for those balancing study alongside other commitments.>

I had a brief cameo on BBC Scotland's news programme "Reporting Scotland" through the week, discussing the enforceability of private parking fines. The report itself was prompted by the new Private Parking Code of Practice for Scotland, England & Wales, introduced to Parliament on 20 October 2026. >

This inquiry is a big opportunity to focus on ensuring that even more people benefit from Scotland's outdoors!🚶🏽‍♀️ More ⏬

Fascinating to read that a Senedd member used a pair of smart glasses to read his speech - autocue style - in a chamber debate last week. Suspect it’ll be something the Westminster authorities have to confront soon too.

Archer’s resignation from the London mayoral race after it was revealed he lied in court was the thing that got Paul Foot up from his sickbed and contributing again, having first started chronicling Archer’s lies and misdemeanours in 1969. From the Private Eye archive. Issue 992, December 1999.

Listening to a BBC Radio 6 discussion there about the TV show The Break Clause, about a couple who move in together, break up, but then need to live together for six months as that's the minimum tenancy duration. A premise that wouldn't work in Scotland, or rather would be restricted to 28 days.

Castle Tioram is an ancient ruined castle in Loch Moidart one of the seats of Macdonald of Clanranald. It hit the headlines over 20 years ago when the person who claimed to own it (Lex Brown) proposed to renovate the property and convert it to residential use 1/4

Annual trip to the Tenement House with my Strathclyde Housing Law class for a bit of history/legal geography. Only issue was the record player and accompanying 80s vinyl collection usually in the café was being used for an exhibition (with these materials to engage with instead). Still a great venue
