That Data Forensics Guy. Founder of a UK AI startup. Happy husband & dog daddy. People would call me liberal, but I think I just follow the science. Half decent carpenter. Like to think I still do pretty well in the ring despite my age.

I’m really, really bad at predicting stock markets, but regardless - I refuse to buy Tesla or SpaceX. I might be losing out but I won’t enrich that guy.

Actually, I’m much better at machine learning systems. So I’m building ClearAlpha (ClearAlpha.ai) to help make stock predictions for me - not driven by some massive LLM, but using cutting edge, purpose-built deep learning algorithms. Join the waitlist if you’d like to get access when we launch!

clearalpha.aiClearAlpha - AI-Powered Stock PredictionsGet AI-driven stock market predictions powered by neural networks. Analyze 260+ features including sentiment, technicals, and fundamentals for smarter investing decisions.

Excellent breakdown of this study and its findings. Great work.

As misleading headlines go, that has to be up there with some of the worst! As is the claim that "Immigration is fuelling mass unemployment among under-25s." The "shocking new study" does NOT show that at all 🙄 🧵 1/21

Zuckerberg actually woke up one day and thought “I know what people want - a little AI me, to sit on their desktop and judge them all day every day!” Like a little MS paperclip, but somehow even less human, and more irritating.

Mother Jones@motherjones.com

Zuckerberg didn’t think he was robotic enough already, so now he’s using AI. The tech CEO is reportedly making an AI clone of himself to provide feedback to his employees.

The BBC asked Karoline Leavitt to clarify the White House stance on use of nukes. Her 100% absolutely reassuring response: “The Iranian regime has until 8PM Eastern Time to meet the moment and make a deal with the United States. Only the President knows where things stand and what he will do."

This is an actual post. This is not funny. This is beyond desperate. This is a deeply unwell man who doesn’t belong anywhere near the levers of power. Every member of his cabinet and Congress is complicit in not demanding his removal now.

My GBNews-watching mother-in-law when I asked her why I should be allowed to stay in the UK as an immigrant: “Well, you’re white!” What can you possibly say to people who no longer consider plain racism to be a bad thing?

I think the top government officials wearing shoes that don’t fit because they’re too afraid not to, just perfectly describes the moment we’re in.

Angry@angrystaffer.bsky.social

I keep seeing people ask about the 25th Amendment. Guys. His entire Cabinet is walking around in shoes that don’t fit because they’re scared to take them off. The 25th is never happening.

Using an Orwell quote is so apt, but the fact that it’s fake is just perfect.

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

Kristi Noem: "It reminded me of the quote that is often attribute to George Orwell that states, 'People sleep peacefully in their beds at night only because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf.'"

So this is a ‘major combat operation’ but not a war? I’d love to see the White House explain how anyone bombing the US and killing its leadership would not be considered an act of war.

To anyone wondering why it matters, there is a massive risk with your data being kept in a place where you may have no data protection rights. Imagine your daily movement information being sold to someone who would love to know when you’re not at home.

Don’t buy Chinese EVs

I have dedicated the last 20 years of my life to promoting the use of responsible and defensible AI - that is a massive subject to explain here, but let’s just say this; LLMs are not the way. Today I’ve been talking to UK councils, and am just staggered at how few people understand, or even care.

If you’re wondering why it matters; ask yourself, would you want an LLM (which, to be clear, is a word guessing engine) making a decision about your child’s healthcare? There are much better AI architectures for these things, but I’m horrified to the extent that people don’t even want to know.

No wonder the orange toddler is unhinged once again. The Obamas are competent, classy, loving, Harvard and Princeton graduates, loved by many, not on the Epstein files, got the Nobel Peace Prize, and gave us a steady economy to boot. Repost this if you agree they are AMAZING and an inspiration!

The cynicism of wanting to destroy the world to be able to pick up the pieces cheap is just staggering. This should be all anyone needs to see to understand what these people really want from this right wing extremism - it’s not ideology, it’s sheer manipulation and opportunism.

Marine Le Pen is funded by Russia. "meeting yesterday with the French right wingers, including Le Pen, her husband, about refinancing the National Front Party because apparently a good part of their money comes from Russia. Two thoughts here, these guy seemed like idiots, pure Ruritania"

We now seem to be experiencing the shitcircle where Trump is trying to distract from the Epstein Files with ICE, while at the same time the DOJ is trying to distract from ICE by dropping more Epstein Files.

I see we’re already reaching the “I was only following orders” stage. I look forward to seeing how that works out.

Kristi Noem: "Everything I've done, I've done at the direction of the president and Stephen"

If you haven’t read Anne Frank’s diary recently, I strongly encourage you to. "What is done cannot be undone, but one can prevent it happening again."

“They stayed a little back, off the front lines." Our men and women fought and died right alongside yours. I have friends and colleagues who stood on IEDs, still suffer PTSD to this day or never came home at all. This absolute lie is so despicable - I don’t have the words to express my anger.

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

Trump on NATO: "I've always said, will they be there if we ever needed them? That's really the ultimate test. I'm not sure of that. We've never needed them. They'll say they sent some troops to Afghanistan and this or that. And they did. They stayed a little back, off the front lines."

Every kid learns at some point that they can’t just take another kid’s medal and say they won the race… … except Trump. Trump has been taking other people’s stuff and calling it his own his entire life, and nobody’s ever explained to him that it doesn’t count.

The concept of gamifying law enforcement is just more evidence that it’s not about law enforcement.

Demonstrators apparently retrieved from the cars belonging to ICE these "challenge coins" that ICE mercenaries receive when they carry out arrests. This one is decorated with a skull wearing a crown. ICE mercenaries serve king death. They are evil incarnate.

My father-in-law was one of those 50,000 in 2024. He was made to wait over 12 hours in a hard plastic seat in A&E before losing consciousness. He died shortly after, on Christmas Eve. This improvement by Labour isn’t just nice to have - it will save lives.

Winter pressures remain high and there’s far more to do. But despite the challenges we face, this November, NHS staff still saw patients quicker. Thanks to their hard work, 73.8% patients were seen within the NHS's four-hour target - over 50,000 more than a year earlier.

That’s a nice democracy you guys had there. You had freedom of speech and human rights. Now it’s state media propaganda and door-to-door searches by masked police. I really hope someone over there turns this around somehow because this is horrifying.

Don't let this Jan 6th point get lost: Jack Smith testified to Congress he had "proof beyond a reasonable doubt that President Trump engaged in a criminal scheme to overturn the results of the 2020 election." In other words, he could prove in court that Trump attempted a coup.
