I don’t buy for one second that Trump voters didn’t know Project 2025 would be his playbook. They just didn’t think it would touch them. Oops! CNN needs to own its role too, letting Trump lie unchecked and pushing that lazy “both sides” framing between him and Kamala Harris.

Government officials are speaking the language of abusers. “Look what you made us do.” “If you would’ve let us do what we wanted, it wouldn’t be so bad.” “You deserved it.” They’re tapping into layers of trauma and deep systemic power imbalances. We have to lift each other up. Stand together.💙

I don’t want to hear another word from the right whining about dangerous, incendiary, violence-inciting language from the left. Once again, here’s their dear leader, the most divisive person on the planet.👇

Ted Cruz is celebrating the thought of people getting fired because they don’t agree with him politically But you better not call him a fascist or anything

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

Cruz: "President Trump is going to use that as an opportunity not to tell people you're furloughed for a few days, but instead to send pink slips & to get rid of left-wing bureaucrats who are imposing left-wing priorities that are contrary to President Trump's priorities. I think that's fantastic."

Trump has decided that no jobs report will issue on Friday due to the government shutdown. But it turns out there is a different reason: that report will, when issued, be catastrophically bad.

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

CNBC: "Very disappointing. It's a weak number. This is private sector jobs for September. The total comes in -32,000. And that was a surprise because economists were looking for an increase of 51,000. Also, the revision was not good. August now showing -3,000 compared to the initial read of 54,000"

Raskin: "It's not lost on anyone that shutting the government down allows them not swear in our new colleague, Ms Grijalva from Arizona, who would be the 218th signature to discharge the Epstein files and to put a vote on that on the House floor."

“If you call us fascists, we’re going to put you behind bars.”

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

Stephen Miller: "They say they are trying to kill the fascists & stop the fascists. It's deliberate. President Trump is saying that we as a nation are not going to tolerate it anymore & the joint terrorism task force at the FBI is going to find these terrorists & we're going to put them behind bars"

I can’t believe I’m watching interviews of city mayors talking about how they are coordinating with other mayors to discuss how to protect their residents FROM THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES I know we are “used to it” but it is absolutely insane

The flew the entire military leadership in so they could see for themselves that the Secretary of Defense is a mouthbreathing dipshit and the Commander in Chief is a senile, weak old man who might keel over at any moment.

Republicans are in charge of the Senate. Republicans are in charge of the House. Republicans are in charge of the Executive Branch. If the government shuts down and you honestly think Democrats are to blame, you're the reason shampoo bottles have instructions.

In another installment of our ongoing series Evil Ages You, let me remind everyone that Russell Vought here is 49 years old.

Science and Freedom Alliance - SAFA@safa-science.bsky.social

Any mass firing like this by Trump, as punishment for shutdown or otherwise, is deeply illegal—as Judge Illston ruled and SCOTUS did not disagree though lawlessly let the firings continue. Also, this is a sign not of strength but of Vought weakness. He REALLY doesn’t want Congress to stand up. 1/
