Found at a flea market in Santa Fe NM more than 30 years ago, probably the first Star Trek comic I purchased. It's a copy of Gold Key Star Trek #48 with what looks like the autographs of James Doohan and Walter Koenig. I don't know if the autographs are real, but I don't care. Both actors gone now.

I think Chekov's first appearance in the L.A. Times Star Trek Sunday strip, February 17 1980. The artist, Thomas Warkentin, gave us a fierce Chekov, something we saw from Mr. Koenig occasionally in the tv show. RIP Walter Koenig
