Once mass spam texts were made legal, younger donors vanished, leaving a grassroots fundraising machine that subsists on squeezing vulnerable seniors, some of whom give hundreds of times a day. It’s a horrific model. Consultants get generationally wealthy, and the party hollows out its future.

Jake Grumbach@jakemgrumbach.bsky.social

We found that as of right now 73% of your campaign donation goes back to the consultants and vendors (!!!), four times more than just 20 years ago. Only 13% to ads. Even I was shocked.

Incredible that this is the toughest interview Hannity has ever done

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

Wow -- Hannity is moving in for the kill: "Why not just say 'I went to Pepperdine Law School and then took a different career path'? Why get into this long drawn-out thing about the difference between a lawyer and an attorney?"

How can there still be more wild shit to learn about one person?

Like it or not this what Maine Guys actually sound like. Might sound like shit to you, but this is a Meryl Streep-level performance for guys from Maine with this voice and personality.

i see arguments like this sometimes and ... what's the thing. what is this "everyday annoying task" that an AI could actually do and that you could trust it to not totally fuck up? i cannot imagine the things. and tech/robots have made a lot of tasks more efficient but there's always more shit

Ah yeah I love when my kid is watching computer

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

Linda McMahon: "AI is definitely a tool used correctly. I've seen it in action. I have visited the Alpha School in Austin, Texas, where they use AI for the first two hours every single morning. The students have their headsets on, they are watching their computers ... it is incredibly effective"

this "economic alternative" shit is so bizarre. these guys are already in charge!

*Mr Beast voice* I HELPED THIS WOMAN TURN A ROOM FULL OF STRAW INTO GOLD USING ONLY A SPINNING WHEEL! IF SHE CAN'T GUESS MY NAME IN THREE DAYS, I'M TAKING HER BABY!

You know what feels good? Asking your city government to fix something and it getting fixed. I put in a 311 request to change the stop light timing at a really annoying intersection. And they actually did it! Within a couple days! Anyway, thanks City of Austin!

im sorry but there is no bigger loser behavior than making a fake computer generated image of yourself as something cooler than you are, this should be among the most embarrassing behavior in our society

I feel like an issue that would connect well with voters would be doing anything at all to slow the current progression toward "absolutely everything now is a scam"

This is what gets me about the AI food pictures. They look nothing like food. And I’m pretty sure humans are programmed at, like, a basic, biological level to recognize “food” and “not food”.

rax ‘levon honkers’ king@raxkingisdead.bsky.social

the AI-generated pictures of food horrify me to my core, they disgust me at the same level as the smell of rotting meat or vomit or whatever. seeing them makes my day a percentage point worse every time. and they’re everywhere, they’re fucking everywhere
