The Independent has released an "exclusive" on the "true scale" of Reform UK's overseas donations. I've reported on this extensively for two years, but others have tackled it in various ways since Nick Sommerlad and I first broke the tax-haven links scoop in 2024: www.mirror.co.uk/news/politic...

Of course, none of these investigations take into account the two recent donations from Delo/Harborne (combined £72m), which if you *do* add them to other Reform UK donations since 2019 (and they are allowed to go through) means that almost 86% of ALL Reform funding has come from just TWO PEOPLE!!

(No shade on the Independent btw, it's a good report! My point is that these findings remain more or less consistent over time, Q on Q, year on year).

The same piece revealed that if you include all donations to the party up to Q2 2026 (aside from the two new mega-donations from Delo and Harborne), taking in overseas residents alongside offshore interests and tax-haven links combined, the figure is currently about 82% of all Reform donations.

The Independent piece below (not mine) has calculated that 80% of donations received by Reform between 2025-26 came from individuals or companies who have been based abroad in the past two years, which is broadly consistent with previous finding: www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/poli...

Ed Sheeran's music was always shit anyway but what a lineup featured in the pages of the review. It sounds like an absolute belter of a night; with Hozier, Kneecap, Dead Prez and more, especially satisfying given how this gig came came about. Free Palestine. www.theguardian.com/music/2026/o...

After a deadly shooting at an Israeli checkpoint in Hebron in the occupied West Bank, Israel began carrying out a wave of demolitions. Families have been forced to evacuate, while some have had their homes demolished. CNN’s Abeer Salman reports. Read more: https://cnn.it/3W7PVXE

Was having film chat with a teenager the other day and they were like "oh god, anything to do with Vampire, werewolves, love it!" I asked, softballing, if they had watched True Blood or What We Do In the Shadows, they had not, but said that they "loved" Vampire Diaries, Originals, and Twilight...

And if you're in the mood to take a bite out of some other often unsung vampire films, then may I suggest: Let The Right One In (2008 - book is better, not seen the pointless US remake nor will I) A Girl Walks Home Alone At Night (2014) My Heart Can't Beat Unless You Tell It To (2020)

We didn't get into the finer points of classic vampire cinema lore, no Lost Boys, or Blade, or From Dusk Til Dawn. I just walked away feeling as old as time itself.
