Let's check on Ground News. Here we see a story where "AI did something good"**. Let's review all the *checks notes* ONE THOUSAND AND FIVE SOURCES, whom I'm assured all are "good and such". **Story was about the PHP security issue which maybe / maybe wasn't found through AI? X=doubt

I, Ground News - an AI filter of topics who never goes beyond 100 sources of a topic, and rarely gets to 3 figures regardless of slant - chooses to give you TEN TIMES the amount of viable sources. Because reasons. I am trustworthy 👍

To prove a point to my dad I just googled Jack Ross and/or Turning Point UK with the names of major news publications literally 3 minutes ago and the closest I got to mainstream coverage of the Al Jazeera sting was the Guardian. Times, Telegraph, BBC, Daily Mail - absolutely nothing. Seems... odd 🤔

I dunno man, sounds bad. The wife of a senior politician is catching major flack for supporting an author who said she may support a proscribed group and we all know about that! The politician is facing calls to resign! He's not involved, mind, but still! And yet, cavort with a contract killer & 🦗🦗

You'd think a former Tory councillor nominee and now CEO of a "political activist" group setting up a reporter with a convicted man who is part of a proscribed group with the intention of maiming and/or killing someone would merit a mention somewhere. Apparently not, according to major media sources

36km/h - fastest man 390km/h - fastest bird 3*10^8m/s - speed of light 47*10^3848202km/ns - speed of the rail replacement bus stopping at the station I was just at.

What's the deal with taking time (much longer than 8 seconds) to setup a long throw, only to fake it and throw it short? Has to be some kind of punishment, surely? #lfc

Thank god I don't have to listen to the Brentford fan channel commentary anymore masquerading as "neutral" commentary.... As awful as the co-commentator was it wasn't as bad as poor Kelleher being called Kellera the whole game by the main commentator... Man deserves better 😭

You noticed?? Awww, how sweet are you? ☺️

Despite being super honest about my condition and despite doing good work when I could actually work, I went through 3 jobs in a year because "you were ill 3 times in probation so we have to let you go". After I attempted suicide I was able to get a job where that didn't matter too much - until...

We'll help you medically, but when you're employed by us and you hit that magic 3 absence mark we will let you claim a neurologist appt and then fire you same day. Because we care :)

If they did pet insurance they'd deny every claim for their daschund's inevitable spine problems. Because they are a south African company at heart and they do NOT care. And I grew up in SA and have seen their HQ which DWARFES the American embassy across the road. Make of that what you will.

I was moved from 1 team to another, where the manager said "too many absences, 1 more in 12 months and you're gone". I managed to get to the bottom of my issues but it's incredible how, when you're important, rules don't apply to you. On a separate note, FUCK vitality.co.uk to the ends of the earth

Science.org was this article peer reviewed? I'm trying to work about where the peer review process status and ends as per this citation??

Can the new cutting-edge AI models feel pain? They at least behave as if they do, according to a recent study. The work, which has not been peer reviewed, has divided #AI researchers. https://scim.ag/4hHU6BA

When will the people who argued in April 2025 that Democrats should stay silent on immigration own up to being frankly just disastrously wrong about the politics of mass deportations? Their punditry basically bordered on enablement

This may be apocryphal re: the timing but I remember Kamala and Tim doing really well initially ("these R's are weird right?" doing numbers); I then remember Labour making a big song and dance about "advising" their campaign; then I remember the Dem's popularity TANKING soon after.

Reading about a poem written by people but about AI and it taking over after we die/end. Everyone on the sub Reddit cooing about how apt it is - my question is, how does AI continue once humans aren't there to feed the infrastructure for it? Power plants need fuel, solar isn't prolific enough yet-

This is like the driving version of the Apartheid pencil rule. Pencil falls out your hair? You're white. It doesn't fall? You're black. Oh you're siblings? Same parents? Don't care. Israel of course doesn't practice apartheid, obviously. Multiple coloured pass- sorry, licence plates mean nothing 🙄

South Africa now has different licence plates but they're for the different provinces. And you can drive on the same roads regardless. So, why would your licence plates dictate what roads you can drive on? It's like it's to keep you APART. In some manner or STATE. An APART STATE or some such thing.

A whole bunch of "leftie" policies are really popular when stripped of the political background! There's a reason a ton of money is dumped to politicise this stuff. "The message is bad" ok and? The policy is good!! Fuck the trans haters, trans rights forever and always ✊ and fuck data centres 👎

Queer Armorer@queerarmorer.bsky.social

Trans rights are popular. When presented without culture war bullshit they just are. AI/LLM models and the resulting data centers have massive popular movements against them. Democratic advisors yelling anything but those two facts are actively lying for a paycheck from a compromising source.

Thinking about how a girl at Christian summer camp asked me if my dad was in Al Qaeda and I got in trouble for asking if her dad was a Klansman bc “her question was understandable”

Half time analysis after Ipswich player clatters into Gakpo (maybe) in the box: "maybe at 0-0 it's a different conversation" wtf does the score have to do with it?? So because we're 2-0 up it's not a foul but if the game is more even it is? Bonkers

I think back to when Mark Clattenburg didn't want to give a red card as VAR during a game because "he felt bad for the referee" a few years ago after he had a bad game, in essence to not make it worse. Why do feelings enter into it? If it's a foul it's a foul! I know it's only analysis but it's poor

Carra: Liverpool really poor going into half time. Isak only scored two goals and Wirtz shouldn't be on the pitch, Gakpo showing why he should have been sold. Ipswich looking really dangerous. Overall, Liverpool lucky to be losing -2-0

The whole of Liverpool - and further afield - tells yous to fuck off :) "Ugh, your colloquialism sucks, rather bring back some ancient shite" or am I not allowed to say "shite"? Ugh. Really??

I was born in 1985 & no Labour government in my lifetime was a LABOUR government like the 50's-70s. They had ONE major economic meltdown* in the 70's & we've had basically a change of rosette colour since. Meanwhile we're on the, what, 4th? 5th? economic crisis of my lifetime now? *Citation needed

For clarity: I don’t think Tony is an American spy. I think he did all the extremely damaging things that someone who was being paid by US intelligence would totally do, willingly and without formally being suborned, because he is a massive egotistical asshole who loves accepting massive payments.

Everything Blair's done since 2001 has been for the love of the game. No longer PM but his mandate hasn't changed a bit. So, did he do it for power? To appease Murdoch? Nope, he's just a dick. Brown, from what little I've gathered, tried to change things JUST a little & was destroyed. Twas ever thus
