After a team of talented teenage baseball players from Venezuela swept through a qualifying tournament in Mexico last month, it seemed they were bound for the Senior League World Series in the U.S. But the team was denied the visas necessary to attend, Little League Baseball International said.

There is currently an NWS flash flood warning in effect for all five boroughs of NYC. But no City agency has posted it on this platform. Please help spread the word. “If you live in a basement apartment or low-lying area, be ready to move to higher ground.”

To see why destroying the US science enterprise is so detrimental to the world, we have to realize that the US spends more on research and development than any other country in the world (by far), and if we remove China and Japan, the US spends almost as much as ALL other countries combined.

If only some of this had been foreseeable before the election, the WSJ edit page might have been able to warn its readers.

After taking unprecedented (illegal) access to federal data systems, DOGE has found basically no substantial waste, fraud, or abuse. They've lied a lot but come up quite empty in reality.

Trump is doing exactly what he was elected to do when he tanks the economy, causes epidemics, cuts Medicaid, destroys freedom of the press, and facilitates genocide in Ukraine and Gaza.

Important: A *Republican* Congressman, Austin Scott, just wrote to Marco Rubio urging him to address the problems I reported on below that are putting lifesaving treatment for severely malnourished children abroad at risk. He joins Dem Rep Seth Magaziner. Horrific stuff:

Awful: Delivery of life saving treatment to nearly 400,000 severely malnourished kids abroad is in doubt amid USAID firings, the product's manufacturers tell me. The treatment is a paste made of peanuts, milk and sugar for kids on edge of starvation. Details here: newrepublic.com/article/1919...
