Ohhh my gosh, it's so true. I'd buy games for my 1-year-old DOS PC and with a bit of luck you could make them barely run with yet another version of autoexec.bat and config.sys on a boot-floppy, and you'd wistfully await the day you get a newer PC which turned the game into something entirely new.

One of those growing bits of ahistorical nonsense I see online is 'Games were just optimized better in the old days'. Like fuck they were. The entire history of videogames is stuff barely running on intended hardware. Why do you think we've had ultra-low graphics options available since hte 90s?

MAN, I really need to get back to posting on the socials of the medias or something. So, hey. In August last year, I was on Fools Garden's 33rd Anniversary festival. This past Saturday, I was on another of their concerts. Me, a complete hermit. Hah! Their concerts are so good. So warm and friendly.
