Anyone that says “happy” birthday, “happy” holidays, or “merry” christmas can fuck off. I’ve been acting that all is well for 41 days, but it’s a lie. Betrayal and abandonment do not lead to “happy” holidays. To anyone else out there with an impending divorce, “Fucking Holidays can go to Hell”.

Walmart spent $35.3B on stock buybacks from 2019 to 2024, enough to give each of its 2.2M employees annual bonuses of $2,719. Last year, Walmart CEO Doug McMillon pocketed $27.4M — 930x the company's median employee pay of just $29,469. Textbook corporate greed.

I think it would be good to get some women in charge of the countries that have nuclear weapons. Women talk to each other. Women can be reasonable. Enough with the macho men and swinging dicks.

Last night was the 250th anniversary of Paul Revere's midnight ride to warn the Minutemen of approaching British troops. I want to take a moment to share an excerpt from the Declaration of Independence's grievances against King George III. Remind you of anyone?

"In fact, in the minutes after DOGE accessed the NLRB's systems, someone with an IP address in Russia started trying to log in ... Whoever was attempting to log in was using one of the newly created DOGE accounts — and the person had the correct username and password"

Right now, we have an authoritarian president. He called CNN "illegal." He is trying to encroach on the spending powers of Congress. He is going after the courts. Trump does not respect our Constitution. He just wants more and more power for himself.

If Donald Trump can override our elected officials’ control of the purse strings, we are effectively entering a period of taxation without representation.

Trump administration is planning to use polygraphs to assess federal employee loyalty. There are ways to manipulate polygraph results, and we will provide guidance to coalition members. Polygraph results are not admissible in court due to their potential for false positives and negatives.

None of this is about "efficiency." Mass firings occurred at the CFPB this week — one of the most efficient federal agencies. The goal here is to gut the government entirely and remove any obstacles to the continued consolidation of wealth and power by the oligarchs.

Blanket firing of all probationary employees regardless of skill, combined w the deferred resignation program is the opposite of "merit." The deferred resignation program is most likely to attract the highest value employees who have lucrative private sector offers and will be hardest to replace.

This is a perfect fit into my recent collecting is books relating to Trump and other crap leading to the downfall of the USA. Figured I would build a physical library before the internet goes down or is gutted by his Orangeness and Musk.

The battle of our day is no longer about Democrats versus Republicans or left versus right. The choice right now is democracy or dictatorship. And we're sliding faster than I ever thought possible into the latter. Everyone must choose which side they’re on. Now.

This has always been the GOP's strategy: 1) Cut taxes for the wealthy & corporations by claiming they'll pay for themselves. 2) Explode the deficit. 3) Demand cuts to programs that millions of people rely on. 4) Repeat. Don't let them get away with it.
