You know your government is not in the right place and is incredibly flawed when it is compared in any way to Nazis in a book on the history of Nazism. Trump is a Nazi and he cannot be allowed to put his policies in place. #Trump #fascism #NoKings

And yet ICE will claim that they aren't the Gestapo and are extremely upset when they are called that. If they don't want to be compared to the Gestapo, don't act like them. It's not complicated. youtube.com/shorts/KiCt3...

So given Trump's sad, pathetic military parade turnout, is he basically the Wish version of Stalin?

I wonder if RFK Jr. commonly swims in fecal bacteria infested creeks. It would explain some of his behavior. Although the brain worm might be having neighbours soon.

Okay, Goebbels. How about building a country that deserves and is worthy of patriotism instead of demanding it? Like the communist countries you rage about did?

I have no idea how the Canadian election is going to turn out. I just hope however it turns out will result in a total rejection of Trump, Trumpism, and any policy that even vaguely looks like something he would support, want, or imagine in my country.

Hey, US your idiot has escaped, can someone please come and collect him? Also, keep my country's name out of your fucking mouth.

Normally, I'm a peaceful, patient, calm guy. I much prefer negotiation and compromise. But in the case of ICE, I'm all for helping the people with really good throwing arms find bricks. ICE should be met with stink bombs, eggs, and insults through bullhorns every time they deploy.

Good grief. I did not know that Professor Umbridge would be J.K. Rowling's role model or self-insert character. How can hurting trans women bring this much satisfaction to someone? Expelliarmus!

WTF does RFK Jr. think autism is? The man in charge of healthcare in the United States doesn't even have a basic grasp of autism, but he's going to investigate and prove what causes it? The worm died of starvation.

What ideas are considered illegal for entry into the United States? Can we get a list? Why are ideas considered so dangerous they were highlighted in red? America is not free anymore. And it's obvious to anyone who's read a history book. But that's an idea, so it's probably illegal.

This is like calling a chess player moving their knight around in circles while they lose every other piece a grandmaster with an unbeatable strategy. America is being lead by a bunch of lunatic cultists.

Welcome to Idiocracy.

Yes, it is. And unlikely to return for decades. If ever.

It's frightening how easily a lot of people will embrace dictatorial policies, as long as they think those policies will only hurt other people.

Yet more proof that the ability to have children does not mean one is a good parent. These are some incredibly sick, twisted people, and I worry for their remaining children. Just get vaccinated people.

So . . . is America great again? Is this what being great looks like?

Well, now Comicon dot com is telling folks it's not safe to travel to the US for cons or book tours. A lot of folks are going to start making the same trip cancellation call that Hyun Sook and I did.

You wouldn't know from reading this New York Times story about Trump punishing the University of Pennsylvania for trans athletes that there are no trans athletes on women's teams at the University of Pennsylvania because the New York Times didn't find that detail worth including

We're approaching the point where entering the United States will have to be regarded with the same concern as entering East Berlin. And we're going to have to act like Cold War spies if we don't want to be detained. No smart phones, no 'incriminating' documents, no clothing that stands out.

I know this first hand. When I was a child, my entire community was branded as spies and sabateurs, justifying our internment inside barbed wire camps for years without due process, trial or charge.

You don’t know who we just disappeared to El Salvador. Think about that.

Hey, MAGA people. This attitude can easily be turned on you if you aren't happy with something your leader does and decide to protest against it.

Watching this unfold, a Star Trek quote comes to mind. 'When children learn to devalue others, they can devalue anyone, including their parents.' A lot of Trump followers are going to learn that one day.

This development is a horrifying and further escalation of the very topic I wrote about yesterday evening: The Trump administration’s move from governmental changes to individual attacks focused on political opponents. www.lawdork.com/p/trump-test...

Tuberculosis, the deadliest infectious disease on the planet, kills more than 1.25M people a year. New infections are expected to surge by 30% as a result of closing USAID, a memo says. The increase will inevitably lead to cases in the U.S.

Quick little health-related thread: There are measles outbreaks happening in the US & Canada because of pockets of very low vaccination rates. I wondered if maybe I might need an update to my vaccines. I got them in the usual way as a kid, but sometimes immunity doesn’t last. So I asked my doctor.

When Amazon launched in 1995, there were 5,500 indie bookshops in the U.S., with 7,000 locations. By May of 2023, that number had decreased to 2,185 indies & 2,599 locations. When you purchase audiobooks via Libro.fm vs. Audible, you directly support indie bookshops. Let's make that number grow ❤️

Since Elon Musk likes the letter X so much in his company names what with X, and SpaceX, he should rebrand SpaceX to Xplode. Tesla can become Xpire.

The SpaceX Starship explosion seems like the perfect new mascot for the United States. The country is currently undergoing a rapid unscheduled disassembly.

YES SIR!!!

I want to look up and see the Earth just hanging there in the sky all huge and blue and spinning half splashed in sunlight

REMEMBER KIDS when flooding a snitch form, DON’T use obvious troll responses that can be filtered out with a query Use PLAUSIBLE FAKE data that will take TIME and EFFORT to run down. This poisons the entire data pool and makes it useless

How is this the richest man in the world? Just how?

In my video about this I made the case that knowing there’s a 3% chance an asteroid will hit us is amazing news because at any other point in history we would have no idea at all. But it also sucks: modern life is too full of things to worry about that, previously, we just wouldn’t know existed.

Currently appearing at UK bus-stops. More of this pointed ridicule, please.

Never played hockey before, never watched hockey before, but tonight, I'm a hockey fan and proudly Canadian. Oh Canada!

I know it's classier and proper to win with grace and decorum, but . . . suck it Canada's basement! #hockey #onlyuscommand
