Tonight on the longest night of the year, for the 16th year, we gathered for a Homeless Memorial for those who died homeless in Iowa this passed year. Songs, poetry and prayer were shared and the names of 39 people were read. Some had no details other than their name. But each one of them mattered.

Went to our state fair yesterday all by myself and had the best time! I love going with family and friends but this lets me have time with my parents in my memories. I can take as long as I want and do what I like. I used to dislike going places by myself but I kind of crushed it yesterday. Go me! 💖
