Good morning, my Bleeps.

Happy Black Cat Day! 🖤

For me, culture is as much about what we encourage as what we actually permit.

Congrats to Lula on overcoming Mark Zuckerberg and Donald Trump to defeat Hospital Pervert Jr., even as his opposition literally blocked off roads and turned off bus service during election day. Fascists are scary but they are always, 100% of the time, ultimately gigantic fucking losers.

This administration is killing us. Vote accordingly.

I’m not a political journalist, so was gladly surprised at the community I found here last night. To Americans anxious about the upcoming elections, a key thing we learned in Brazil that might help you: DO NOT engage with the far-right online. Don’t share rage bait. Amplify your people. Ignore them.

@atlanticbirding.bsky.social The theme for #BirdOfTheDay is #Branched, birds on thin branches. Anhinga, drying out.

Humanity has many shortcomings, but none is stronger than pride.

The trees in Monet's Poplars were auctioned off for timber while he was still painting them. Rather than lose the motif, he struck a deal with the buyer: a share of the cost, on condition the poplars stayed standing a few months more.

Though you may sincerely believe it, not voting is not a bold statement of virtue. It is not a brave ethical stance. It is not a strong message to a corrupt system... johnpavlovitz.substack.com/p/to-the-peo...

RT if you've never had a tab of ChatGPT open, period.

The twentysomething men at the Bearskin have become the most conservative people in town: they don't want a modern Bear town, because they know that a modern Beartown won't want them.

Good morning, my Bleeps. Silver linings for everyone.

Has anyone else noticed lately getting instant irrelevant likes from accounts with no posts and no followers? Do we need another Ukrainian attack on bot farms?

Was working in the front yard this morning when the recycling men came to pick up our waste. One of them handed us this, gave us a hug, and went on his way. Heartening that there are still such positive people in this day and age. Or maybe he was just doing some recycling of his own?

Good morning, my Bleeps. Make your plans for the day, then act.

Seen this story all day today. Every headline says "27 year old Minnesota man..." I have yet to see one with the headline that the man was Somalian. The most maligned and denigrated group in Minnesota www.goodmorningamerica.com/news/story/2...

Proof that cats are liquid.
