if you can catch it, watched You Can See Everything on thursday and have been finding myself, during lulls at work shifts, pretty often just thinking about it. an excellent movie regardless, but it's also been a good brainworm, easy recommend!

cleave spotify, dismember with axes. this AI shit is unbearable. I use adblocks for twitch and youtube so genuinely I don't get exposed to much of the actual culture. but spotify, if I wasn't roped into a precious family plan, it's like they saw what they could get away with paying artists nothing.

like it does Work technically, it pumps out coherent sentences. but if it's equal to white noise then why am I bothering. watching white paint dry ass content

the saving grace for me has always been the core Discover Weekly. truly decent if you swim with the algorithm, kind of an unsung backbone. (though I haven't in a year maybe, so could also be hot shit tbh)

scrobbling be damned, spotify were early kings of some smart algorithmic music recs. finding choice music from small artists can be hard to find! but it is just so bad out there with tech companies who think it kind of works.

endlessly more charmed by a faceless truck, but for years and years I'd see great clips for this, and later couldn't search "gamedev car walks funny" to remember it, SO probably better it's a puppy and has an Identity now game looks sick, love Sean's commitment to sharing gamedev process videos!

back on twitter I deadass lost a couple hundred followers when I switched to the current puppy truck from this one

Bluesky would be better if it had ads mixed in with my friends posts, and posts by people I’m not following showing up as well, also all the posts should be out of order. Also there should be more stupid little dick fuckers on here saying shit that pisses me off.

kairosoft and poncle seem full of good peeps, it's always somewhat sweet seeing someone like them land a gig with a Big IP. like tribute games nailing that tmnt beatemup. or even whatever that platinum games tmnt thing is! viacom keep throwing that money around, we could all use some of that bag

Between that One Piece restaurant management game and the JJK Vampire Survivors game, I am glad anime IPs are expanding beyond just bog-standard arena fighters.

cadence of hyrule maybe a trendsetter? small indie crossover is feeling more common, and I do appreciate when there was clearly some moment of "the games that these people make? we need Them to make a game with [property]"

me: "we have all GOT to make weirder and hornier art!" Rivers Cuomo: "god damn you half japanese girls do it to me every time" me: "No, not you
