There’s a brand new blog post up! All about why I still use traditional methods to sculpt miniatures. You can find it at the link below paulhicksminiatures.com/blogs/from-p... #paulhicksminiatures #traditionalsculpting #28miniatures #baronswar #halflings

paulhicksminiatures.comWhy I Still Sculpt Miniatures by HandI first tried sculpting when I was about twelve. I had just got my first Osprey book, Men-at-Arms 182: British Battle Insignia 1914-18, and I wanted figures that looked like the illustrations. You sim...

Returning to my Adepta Sororitas for the first time in a while, and I absolutely love the new Celestian Insidiants. Possibly my favourite Sisters of Battle kit. #WarhammerCommunity #Warmongers #Warhammer40k #AdeptaSororitas #SistersofBattle

And now Gripping Beast just announced they'll be shutting down. I'm having a lot of hobby feelings today

I’m moving my hobby space and noticed this 28mm scale X-wing model I resin printed 5-6 years ago has cracked and seeping liquid resin. Obviously my fault back then not ensuring it has cured properly. Makes me wonder: how many people have time bombs like this in their homes?

Stuff like this, all around hassle and working with toxic chemicals, combined with the rampant piracy in the resin printing hobby, has turned me away from the whole thing. Nowadays strictly FDM and terrain stuff.

My summer time off starts today. And look what the postie brought! The book is gorgeous, photography, layout and print quality 10/10. Worthy tribute to Richard Hale’s passion and all be did for the miniatures community. RIP, legend.

I was very sad to hear news of Richard ‘Orclord’ Hale’s passing. An enormous loss to the community. The Stuff of Legends has long been an essential resource for collectors, fans, & historians, and I personally would not have been able to do so much of my work without it. Terribly sad news.

Has anyone seen a side-by-side comparison of the previous Old World Chaos Warriors vs. the new ones on pre-order today? #warhammercommunity #warhammertheoldworld

Big Mek with Kustom force field, this was the first model I bought when I was a kid. I was feeling nostalgic, and I was lucky enough to find one in its original packaging. #miniaturepainting #warhammercommunity #orks #40K
