These are three things that are more displeasing to God than any others: the first is for a rich man to be greedy, the second is for a poor man to be arrogant, the third is for an old man to be lascivious. Merchant Culture in Fourteenth-Century Venice: The Zibaldone da Canal

"The test of our progress is not whether we add more to the abundance of those who have much; it is whether we provide enough for those who have too little." -FDR, 1937

Honestly I am surprised that anyone from another country would come here for either the World Cup or the Olympics. I'm certain that even if athletes can get in many of their fans won't. MIllions of soccer fans from Latin America and Africa is Trump's nightmare.

We welcome European support but at this time our Waddles will sink any non-scientific vessel within our Territorial Defense Zone, in accordance with our Antarctic Treaty of 1959. We reserve the right to change this policy if American Dear Leader renegotiates his unfair Tariff practices.

News just in: Swedish fashion retailer H&M is considering moving to Heard Island and McDonald Islands to take advantage of lower tariffs and the .hm domain. Insiders say this may outweigh higher shipping costs and manufacturing near an active volcano. @heardislandgov.bsky.social is yet to comment.

God, the Dems are pathetic. Al Greene, my representative showed courage. The rest are scared of getting kicked out. They should all be booing and shouting and getting thrown out.

This says so much about American culture.

Research shows that voices heard by people from the U.S. with schizophrenia are harsh, violent and belong to strangers, and voices heard by people from India and Africa are kind, benign and belong to their relatives and friends.

Word of the Day: ONELINESS - the state of being on one's own, but without any of the negative connotations of loneliness.

We are living in a farcical tragedy.

"Calvin: They say the world is a stage. But obviously the play is unrehearsed and everybody is ad-libbing his lines. Hobbes: Maybe that's why it's hard to tell if we're living in a tragedy or a farce. Calvin: We need more special effects and dance numbers." BILL WATTERSON

The next step in the Fascist playbook is some sort of attack - a bomb, a fire, an assassination. Something that appears to be the work of left wing Americans. Something that will give Republicans an excuse to give Trump "temporary" abilities for "protecting" the government.

A better headline would be: Hell freezes over for the devil's inauguration

Monday's Inauguration Day is set to be the coldest in 40 years. The high temperature for the day is projected to be around freezing at 23 degrees, while the low for the day may drop to just 10 degrees.

I read every night when I go to bed. It helps me wind down. Well most of the time, except when it is a book about an interesting topic. Then it gets my mind working for the rest of the night.😼
