I am angry tonight. Because tonight ICE shot a New Yorker. They shot a New Yorker while his five year old child was in the car. ICE makes this city less safe. We want them out. Now.

Writing #PostcardsToVoters is a great way to get involved and make a difference. These cards are on the way to Georgia in support of @ossoff.bsky.social and @coreyforeman.bsky.social

Ossoff: "Handing an out-of-control executive even more unfettered power just makes it even more vital that we restore checks and balances and constrain this president using our power as citizens as voters in these midterm elections."

Chris Murphy: "It's just disgusting, it's so heartbreaking that we have a president who is cheerleading the death of American citizens. Mueller is amongst many who have been trying to hold this president to account. He's the most corrupt president in the history of the country."

The SAVE America Act is a voter suppression scam. It would take away the rights of working people to make their voices heard at the ballot box. The Senate must reject this bill.

The Working Americans Tax Cut Act would put real money back into the pockets of working families by exempting the first $46,000 of income for an individual—or $92,000 for a married couple—from federal income taxes. Tell lawmakers to pass it ASAP. actionnetwork.org/letters/work... @AFT.org

I'm heading to the Senate floor in a few moments to lay out the detailed story of ICE abuse - teargassing schools, murdering American citizens with impunity, disappearing legal immigrants. And why we should not fund ICE until they stop terrorizing our communities.
