Why do 5,776 people follow this account?? There's absolutely nothing on it?? No posts, no replies, no media, nothing. It follows 10,700 people. Including me now... FFS...

Once again, I know no-one asked for this, but I also know #EveryoneLovesSmallPicturesofLPs So, here are the records I listened to (in whole, or in part, or for my podcast) from Wednesday 21st to Saturday 24th October, 2026...

#NowPlaying @misterquartet.bsky.social - Disquietsongs cloudlandbluequartet.bandcamp.com/album/disqui...

Also this week: it's #Eroica time, but this time with a difference. Master pianist Igor Levit launches his own label, No Silence Records, with Liszt's transcription of Beethoven's mighty symphony, inspired in part by Bonaparte, and coupled with Schoenberg's Ode to Napoleon.

#NewReleaseFriday is a day late, nothing next to the 8 years England spent persuading Haydn to visit. His symphonies had made him a star decades before he got there in 1791, including Nos. 76-78, composed especially to suit 'English humour'. Hear them here: ▶️ www.tunemymusic.com/share/UqlW8S...

I’ve been off work for the past week, it was a great week, but I return tonight and this will be keeping me company!

Morning Saturday morning... Up and doing some tweaking on a long form collaboration created earlier this week... Have a top day everyone!

Making my way home from a night out with a group of old friends where I tried to explain what on Earth it is that I do these days. It’s things like this… cloudlandbluequartet.bandcamp.com/album/keepsa...

#CDFriday Last 54 CDs…

Sitting somewhere between folk, jazz, alt and post-rock. The new album by Boa Morte is like nothing else I've heard. Do yourself a favour...

As someone who supposedly “writes” every single day, I am embarrassed about my hopeless attempts to encourage people here to discover music I’ve discovered. I’m completely useless about putting my thoughts into words beyond “this is great, give it a listen”… But, really, that should be enough LOL

Can I just take a couple of seconds of your time to say I wholeheartedly recommend this album ~ saw them in Dublin last week. Superb show. Unlike anything else around really… Do give it a listen!

Spindizzy free in-store Friday 23rd October (tomorrow!) at 6pm - looking forward to it! Green & sunset orange vinyl available!

Looking forward to a great bill tonight in that Dublin. The superb Boa Morte (2 tracks in my podcast this week) and Pearse McGloughlin, (also featured)…

How have I never even heard of Brandon Seabrook before? Discoveries like this reason enough to always check out CBQ's podcast.

Very much enjoying Trinity College and St Stephen’s Gardens. Oh, wait, no. There’s a Civil Servants’ countrywide strike… Not really sure why that would close a park but hey ho…

1st listen of the day is this - stellar selection if I say so myself LOL. Started at 5am. Of course it’s long gone from the last 10 available on Mixcloud. If you listened in back in February though, thank you!!
