Adding "Kpop fan" to my list of red flags, and also anyone who can't engage with anything outside of very specific artists or genres, or who hasn't really developed their taste since high school or middle school.
Overall I find the idea of solely existing from the pov of a "fan" very unattractive.
I'll add to that anyone who almost exclusively engages with escapist entertainment, or low level romance stuff, and finds all the rest "pretentious".
Not wanting to be challenged or engage with things on a deeper level is not sexy. I now believe that this attitude extends to other subjects as well.
One metal magazine of the 90s actually coined the phrase "Hetfield Effect" to describe the tendency of rockers to switch from "anti-war / anti-establishment" to "patriotic / conservative" pretty much the second they passed draft age
Just finished a track I wrote for my old band Ripen 6 or 7 years ago.
I recorded it in 2023 with a synth bass, since then I wanted to record a real bass on top of it and release the track, so here I am.
Probably my most guitar/math rock track so far.
Enjoy!

Americans will say things like "We must starve Cuba to death with our embargo. Do not let China rescue them with food and energy" and still think people around the world hate them for their freedoms.

I hope to get to a point where I'm selling enough ceramic pieces to justify buying my own kiln, mostly cuz I REAAAALLLYYYY wanna make my own glazes, I've enjoyed working with commercial glazes but I don't wanna be tied down to the options they give me, even if I tend to use them in combinations
I'm no scientist, but I cant watch any astronomy video that assumes for certain that dark matter is a thing.
Afaik the science community came up with it to explain why the movements of galaxies didn't match the predictions/calculations, but it's never been proven or observed in any tangible way.
I feel like in those kinds of fields, it is necessary to emphasize the proper degree of uncertainty when educating people.
Maybe it's just that uncertan ideas are harder to sell, and dark matter sounds cool so it caught on with the public.

A great video on the subject for anyone who has an hour to spare.
If anyone working in the field sees this thread, I welcome your POV.

From what I understand what dark matter is is just "well, our observations don't match our predictions/calculations/model, so there must be some kind of matter there that we can't see, let's call it dark matter".
But there could be some other phenomenon that's not accounted for...
...the model used might just be incomplete.
If it's never been proven or observed in decades, why not go through the effort of emphasizing that it is just a theory for a phenomenon that we can't yet explain?
And that it is a theory among others.
