And this better come back to haunt JD in any presidential run. America First my ass.

Trump’s obsession with male GOP candidates’ bodies is coming after a wave of media stories about how “hot” Democrats are, from Ossoff & El-Sayed to AOC and other women in DSA. He sees it as a competition, as GOP tanks. He’s superficial, insecure and jealous, which we always knew.

It’s hilarious that Trump got off his ass and voted early in-person yesterday. It shows how much he was burned by attention focused on his voting by mail in the primary even though he was in Florida. He’s on the run.

In one day, two politicians - Bolsonaro in Brazil and Vucic in Serbia - with ties to Trump have lost surprise elections thanks to high turnout. The rise of the international far-right is not inevitable.

If, as expected, Democrats sweep this election, the already growing movement in MAGA to repeal the 19th amendment will get louder. It's tempting to dismiss this as just talk. But while they can't just end women's suffrage, this movement is dangerous. www.salon.com/2026/10/26/m...

salon.comMAGA attacks on women voters are no jokeEven if they can't repeal the 19th Amendment, opponents of women's suffrage are gaining power in the GOP

Sounds like a slave auctioneer talking about the big black buck he has available for sale. Hell of a way for Minaj to light her career on fire.

In MAGA, parental estrangement is a big issue — and parents are held out as blameless victims. I suspect that's one reason why Vivek Ramaswamy ran an ad celebrating Amy Acton's vile mother. And why MAGA — including Vance and Trump — are backing him. www.salon.com/2026/10/23/r...

AOC: "They call people communists, they call them this or that. But really what it is is they're afraid of a waitress in the House and a logger in the Senate"

He’ll go with the psycho misogynists and back Ramaswamy. He has no shame. This is a man who campaigned for authoritarian Victor Orban on eve of landslide loss--and of course the rapist Trump, his boss.

Matthew Gertz@mattgertz.bsky.social

Tough call for JD Vance, who is supposed to be campaigning in Ohio today: Will he court the GOP's anti-Indian racists by shivving Vivek Ramaswamy over the Acton ad, or appeal to its psycho misogynists by vouching for its contents?

I think we need to consider the possibility he’s made a huge Polymarket bet on Acton winning the election and is actively trying to throw it

Vivek Ramaswamy has not only confirmed the commercial with Amy Acton's estranged mother was made by his campaign, Axios also reports he's now spending $4 million to air it.

Just sick. “The Kremlin is counting the Trump administration’s latest turn against Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky as a major triumph and, coupled with political upheaval in Europe, a sign that Western support for Ukraine is finally crumbling.” wapo.st/3UzKQa4

wapo.stRussia, sensing victory, cheers Trump’s latest shift against UkraineKremlin officials are crowing that Western support of Ukraine is about to collapse, and Trump’s recent moves are steps to closer alignment between Russia and the United States.

Wow. “A small group of U.S. national security officials has been discreetly advising state governments & congressional lawmakers on how to prepare for the possibility that the Trump administration will attempt to interfere in November’s midterm elections.” www.washingtonpost.com/national-sec...

lots of articles about Republicans already playing the blame game, over past few days: Politico, Daily Beast, Semafor One name oddly missing from those articles about the White House mess: Stephen Miller He basically runs the admin and is responsible for the fierce backlash to mass deportation

Ludicrous framing here from @nytimes.com. No serious Dems ever thought these would be slam dunks. And it's premature to let a centrist group get in a self-interested shot like this before we even know if these candidates will actually fare worse in the elections than other ones. Indefensible.

Hegseth is likely being booted. He was freelancing when he announced the livestream. Vance said immediately, “I don’t know that’s actually going to happen, so let’s just see.” Trump, after hedging, just canceled it. We should take this as further indication Hegseth will be on his way out.

Trump just called off the livestream of the firing squad execution. Poll showed 80% of Americans opposed. This is another backtrack. The public pressure works, he’s scrambling before the midterms.

Let's go, Sam Forstag! That's how you stand up for trans people on the national stage. If congressional candidates in western Montana—one of the most competitive House races in the entire country—can stand up for trans folks in every aspect of our lives, democrats everywhere should take note.
