This weeks #showmeyourknits is textured stitches. I’m working on a really pretty pattern but I’m working on the short row neck shaping rn so haven’t gotten to the textures yet. So here’s a throwback I don’t think I’ve posted. #knithats 🧶

Leaflette scarf/shawl by Lete on Ravelry. I took it a few days ago. I still have half the back and the creasing side to go. So I won’t post more updates for a few weeks. #knits 🧣🧶

Heeeeeey youuuu guuuuyz! Did you 👁️👁️ what posted on Ravelry today from Brienne Moody?! The Minnesota Loon Sweater with a large percent of proceeds going to neighbors in need in MN. I’ve been waiting for this one!!! #justknitting #knitsky

#showmeyourknits What’s on your needles? First I was stuck, then I had 3 half leaves and two hole then I had 4 & 3, then I had to tear out 2 days work. Now I’ve reknit it w/ the lifelines I should placed to start. Doh! 🤦🏻‍♀️ 🧶🧣 Never knit in the deep end without your lifeline. 😏

Ooh! It’s happening! I feel like my brain has cracked the DaVinci code. I’ve been so off kilter since a recent illness. But now look at #whatsonmyneedles #showmeyourknits 🧶 #justknitting #knitsky

#shiwmeyourknits What’s on your needles? Mine have 16 sts of oatmeal lace yarn selected for a shawl. The beginning is set, time to start the first row of the lace. This throws you to chart only. The cart has 1/2 the sts of the row I’m working with not count the edges. It won’t work to…

repeat them because it would not create the lace in the pattern. It would have to be repeated in reverse. Nothing in instructions about this. Been on a forced knitting hiatus since Sept 25 & was so excited to knit again. Killing my will to live here. HELP! So miffed!

Ruined my cliff changing. I think they’re going to make me take of my scarf before the mammo but. But glad I have my St Paddy’s Day Scarf. It’s chilly in here. #selfcare #womenshealth

Gah! coif! Auto-saboteur, not correct. Anywhoo Happy St. Paddy’s Day. Not the scheduling I’d hoped for, but then again I’m feeling the luck of the Irish. 🍀☘️☘️

Does this look like chaos to you, Guardian?

russia may interfere in Danish election, exploiting chaos sewn by US, spies warn ⚓️ Umm.. Guardians? Hi 👋. We don’t ’sew’ chaos, we ‘sow’ chaos. If you’ve ever seen someone knitting 🪡 🧶, it’s the total opposite of chaos.

Well 2AM Saturday and Darth Diaper-vater is bombing Iran. Can Congress do their effing Constitutionally proscribed jobs and rein this maniac in? Really would be great if they stopped watching while they sit on their hands and stop him from starting wars around the globe.

Here’s a thought for James Comer. There IS a First Lady who has had a relationship with Jeffrey Epstein. And it’s not Hillary Clinton. It might be worthwhile for Comer to subpoena the First Lady who actually knows Epstein. You know, just to see what she knows.

A number of Olympic athletes have turned to knitting during the heat of the Games, including Vermonter Ben Ogden, who this week became the most decorated American male Olympic cross-country skier.

Any knitters users of Discord? I joined it for a test #knit last year. With Discord soon to require uploading facial recognition I’m not comfortable staying. They have so many tentacles in gaming etc. But I can’t find any functions to delete the account. Help?

Murphy on Bovino: "That was a bone-chilling interview. I was shaking while I was listening to it, in large part bc it takes just an unbelievable amount of gall to lie to the American public. Everybody saw that video ... it should freak the public out that the Trump administration lies this easily"

Trump can't govern. He failed last time, leaving the economy in the toilet with COVID out of control. He's failing again, wrecking just about everything he touches, from NATO to civil liberties. His profiteering off of a public office is criminal. $4 billion richer? Fascist to the core.

We can not let the burden of fighting the GOP fascist regime fall on just government workers and the people of Minn. What the regime fears most is a falling economy that threatens their Oligarch masters. Now is the time for an organized #GeneralStrike.

A reminder to the news media: “conflicting accounts” is what you say BEFORE the incontrovertible video evidence appears. After that, your job is to ask why one side is lying, not to repeat the lie and pretend no one knows the truth.

So 2A purpose is to defend the people from a tyrannical government. Now the NRA is saying “when a federal army invades your city/town/hospitals/ businesses who you should really be mad at is a much lower level official trying to protect your civil rights.” Hey NRA, you ok?

Rick Perlstein@rickperlstein.bsky.social

Folks have been noting the creepiness of this NRA statement on the Minneapolis murder that DOESN'T affirm Alex Pretti's right to have a gun at a protest, instead blaming "radical progressive politicians lie Tim Walz" who have "incited violence against law enforcement officers" for his death....

Minnesota's state FBI-like bureau is suing Noem. It says before pre-emptively declaring the killing righteous and abandoning the crime scene, feds took exclusive custody of evidence, including "apparently seized cellphones." MN asserts a sovereign right to investigate crimes within its borders.

To those blaming Walz for not mobilizing the Guard, he did that six days ago. I have to say it's disturbing to see people angry at Walz instead of the government agents that just executed a man. As though we should all be experts about what to do when a secret police force invades an American city.

Alex Pretti was a colleague at the VA. We hired him to recruit for our trial. He became an ICU nurse- I lover working with him. He was a good kind person who lived to help and these fuckers executed him. White. Hot. Rage.

The first Minnesota murder, they refused to let a medical professional help the woman they shot. The second Minnesota murder, they simply shot the medical professional.

Worse than Kent State, really than any episode I can think of probably dating back to Reconstruc & earlier b/c 1. continuing, not 1 off. 2. organized, not individual ofcrs losing it 3. literally at hand of federal government, which is 4. immediately lying & circling the wagons to prevent inves.

We've seen what happens when a lying regime like the Bush Regime does not get punished. We are living in the horror of it. I want these people in prison for life. I want them all in the very same prisons that Republicans and corporations have profited off of my entire life.

The future of every ICE agent

Brandon Friedman@brandonfriedman.bsky.social

They wheeled this Nazi asshole into court in a wheelchair and he was still trying to hide his face in shame 76 years after World War II ended. That's the kind of commitment I'm looking for.

His crime was helping a woman they were beating up for nothing. He was an RN, VA ICU. Every RN in this country should walk out off the job. They should definitely demand hospitals keep ICE out of hospitals.

Khashoggi's Ghost@urocklive1.bsky.social

My God.

There’s only one person in this scrum who is a grown man, who is a hero who came to help. That’s the one they killed. Every Vichy Dem is going to b primaried and voted out. Ya’ll better take action Monday to shut this down even if that means a gov shutdown.

Common Dreams@commondreams.org

The footage of the fatal shooting of Alex Jeffrey Pretti "shows that the final act of his life was trying to help a woman who was being physically assaulted by the masked agents who would then kill him."

At this point the only way this country is saved is we shut fine the government and leak the unredacted Epstein Files. This is all about Trump trying to hide what we all know. He’s an unrepentant PDF. Release the Damn Files! No budget until he is gone!
