Healthy and educated is profitable—that should make capitalists happy. Stupid and sick is fodder for backwards dictatorships that control our lives and benefit a tiny fraction of the country. So I support significant public investments in public education and Medicare, etc, because CAPITALISM.

So many reasons to support publicly funding education & healthcare. But as a fairly moderate Dem I rlly bristle at notions that these are “socialist” ideals. Any good capitalist knows a healthy & educated workforce is critical to success & profitability. 1/
