And now something positive: solar and wind energy production in the EU surpasses fossil energy for the first time. ☀️ 💨 #TippingPoint Source: dr.dk

If this country was truly “pro-life,” we would have Medicare for All, a Green New Deal, gun reform, universal child care, and a living wage. The right-wing agenda isn’t about “life.” It’s about control.

OBAMA: It's fair to say that 80% of the world's problems involve old men hanging on who are afraid of death and insignificance, and they won't let go. They build pyramids, and they put their names on everything. They get very anxious about it.

I felt that way... and I'm not even a US citizen. It was deep grief.

Kamala Harris on The View on election night: "That night -- I grieved in a way that I have not since my mother died. The pain was not at all about losing a race. I knew what it was going to mean for the country ... all I could say over and over was 'my God, my God, my God.' It was very difficult."

I don't think I've ever been more ashamed to be British than I was over the last few days, watching the mango shitgibbon being courted by our government and monarchy like some all-powerful emperor. His crimes, his racism, his hatred of democracy, his support of our enemies... WTF were they thinking?

You'd think by now they would have been able to find a patch colour that matches his fake hand tan and give him shoes that fit his swollen ankles. #trumpvisit

I had no idea of the cool things she'd done for music education after she'd "retired" from public life... and even why she stopped appearing at @wimbledonltc.bsky.social is very interesting. Sounds like she's been a great person. R.I.P. Katharine. www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2025...

💯% accurate, and so far there's no such realisation and turning in sight within key western democracies FFS.

This is what pandering to the far-right has done in Germany. In 2021, the Greens were a threat to the CDU/CSU. So Merz, Söder and the right-wing media did everything they could to destroy them with an unprecedented anti-Green and anti-Woke campaign. The result of that has more than doubled the AFD!

No10 spokesman not prepared to criticise anything about Farage speech today. Not his description of "invasion", not his prediction that the UK on brink of civil war, not plans to pay the Taliban or Iran to take back migrants, or indeed to rule out doing so themselves.

Indeed. Stop glorifying the virtues of "christian values". It's as dangerous and farcical as any other cult when pushed to the extremes.

Sooooo true.

Crucial point by Sophia Gaston to Commons C'tee: "The existence of a 'Brexit betrayals' narrative" has a "profoundly depressive" impact on how gov't is approaching the UK/EU relationship. And that is "problematic" because it does not even reflect public opinion, but "coerced by media opinion." ~AA
