I wanted to get the official diagnosis before sharing this. When I was 19 I had a similar hoops injury to Jalen. I remember it being visibly gross. I remember the first few days being very painful. But I remember getting better. The bone healed quickly. My bigger challenge was mental confidence
BREAKING: Oklahoma City's Jalen Williams has a dislocated left ankle and fractured fibula; Cason Wallace has a torn labrum in his left shoulder. Both will undergo surgery and be sidelined for several months -- most, if not the entire season.

To live in LA, particularly with that kind of money. There’s just nothing that can match it among NBA cities.
“Obviously it’s a beautiful place to live. But just being with the Lakers organization, being a part of it, it’s such an honor. It’s amazing to be here.” www.silverscreenandroll.com/lakers-news/...
I’ll only add one thing to this very good piece. The Knicks aren’t one of those NBA Champions with overwhelming talent. That’s not a critique. It’s more of a compliment. They really buckled down and played incredibly when it mattered. But this isn’t a team that’s winning 68 regular season games.
"There's no light switch that we can just turn on and think that we're going to go win ballgames. Nobody's going to give us anything." At Y! Sports: I wrote about the 0-3 Knicks, who've been forcefully reminded that their shit *does* stink: tinyurl.com/53u58cv2
The Knicks could go 0-82 and Mike Brown was still the right choice. He brought a title back to NY with a team that doesn’t have overwhelming talent. That’s the whole story. Nothing else matters.
Last season the Knicks lost three in a row to end October. Some people were saying Mike Brown was the wrong choice. Others were saying much worse. A year later everything is different. Right?
A bit of a special NBA Top 10 as we saluted Jalen Williams right off the top.
This crazy exchange rears its annoying head again😂😂😂
At my old gig I once had a conversation with someone in management that went something like this. Him: “We can’t fix the problem. There’s nothing we can do.” Me: “What if you threw $10 million at it?” Him: “Well of course that would fix it.” I learned a lot from that exchange.
Folks just scream stuff online. As Maggie points out, it’s just not that simple.
Phew. Make sure you read this before you comment because it’s not as simple as “just move the NBA games” because of the domino effects of moving one game. My biggest issue is that they didn’t hammer this out the second the Dream and Valks made the playoffs.
Coming to a United States of America near you soon…
Bolsonaro-friendly mayors appear to be sabotaging public transport on Election Day. Buses aren’t running in Lula-friendly areas, flights and ferries mysteriously canceled. Traffic lights have gone out and people’s power cut in Salvador, indigenous people’s travel restricted
I just checked and I don’t *think McCamish Pavilion is being used that day. McCamish seats 8,600 and is the home to Georgia Tech basketball right in Midtown Atlanta. I wonder if this has been explored yet.
There will be a Game 6 of the WNBA Finals in Atlanta. But nobody knows yet where or even when the game will be played despite a furious round of negotiations spilling into Sunday between the WNBA, NBA, Valks, Dream and Hawks. What we know, with @ramonaespn.bsky.social www.espn.com/wnba/story/_...
My hunch is that we’re about to learn a ton about the future of women’s basketball today. If Juju Watkins is healthy, her talent is WAY beyond any rookie we’ve seen in the WNBA in a long time. Think Maya Moore level ability

Has McAmish Pavilion been brought up at all? It’s a big-ish arena in downtown Atlanta where Georgia Tech plays
The WNBA hasn't said anything publicly. The game itself is scheduled for Thursday, when the Hawks have a game scheduled. An exec for the Hawks said playing at Gateway Center Arena "might be unavoidable" on Atlanta-area radio yesterday... but negotiations are still ongoing.
