In contemporary authoritarian regimes, like in Russia or Turkey, they still have “elections.” But, they aren’t free or fair—they’re mostly rigged in favor of the ruling party. Trump and MAGA are trying to bring these sham elections to the US. Rigging the midterms is their first attempt.
