The amazing Andrew has just sent through some pictures of last Saturday's Mûr de Ned. There are loads of gems, but this one sums it all up...this is Oscar, Climber 57, in full flight.

Went to 4.48 Psychosis at the Royal Opera last night, Sarah Kane’s tragic masterpiece turned into opera by Philip Venables. It was astonishing- and will stay with me for a very long time. Jacquelyn Stucker’s performance is immense. It’s a very tough evening, but transfixing.

Les Amis du Mûr de Ned already hard at work.

2 Days to go until the Mûr de Ned Hill Climb with @xobikes.bsky.social .... ...If you are planning on coming, we need a handful of volunteers to help Gazza, the results and timings boss, and maybe Ollie on sausages, and me on bunting.... Interested in helping out? perhaps you could arrive by 10?

I’ve lived in London for 30 years - and still I stumble across squares I had no idea existed. This is Queens Square in Clerkenwell. A fine place to sit on a bench

@nedboulting.bsky.social @adamtranter.bsky.social and I were in the same room for the latest Streets Ahead episode - and it was a delight to record. We hope you enjoy listening! And a big thanks to The Running Channel for hosting us

🚨New Streets Ahead Episode! Adam, Laura and Ned are all back together IRL. OMG! What does devolution mean for active travel? What's this about a campaigner toolkit? And is there anywhere Ned hasn't been lately? For all this and more, look no further shows.acast.com/streets-ahea...

On your recommendation I bought a bottle of Nebbiolo, to go along with Cheese from The Courtyard Dairy. If only we had free to air cycling my day would be complete

"Matt and I guzzled sparkling water. We spoke about something. I forget what. Probably either Steely Dan or Lotto Intermarché." Beautiful Ned. Nobody else writes about sport quite like this 😀

This was a real joy to edit. Excellent work by Felix Lowe – and thanks to @nedboulting.bsky.social for being such a good sport and, as ever, speaking from the heart www.cyclingweekly.com/cycling-week...

This was a very powerful read. Recently I have visited Weimar a few times and feel drawn to it. I will have to go back again now, armed with all that Hoyer documents in these pages. I highly recommend.

German Eurosport (I am on my travels) just used the following phrase: "Tadej Pogačar will have been so pleased to see his teammate win, who, race after race, rips his arsehole out in the services of others."

The 9th edition of this book is nearly ready for the printers. This was me with Chris, holding only our second edition. I am so proud of what we have achieved. Even though my earnings from the publication, before tax, equal £0. After tax, the same.

The final stage of the Giro d’Abruzzo is already underway and live coverage starts in around one hour.

No one. No one. Not a single person in the cycling journalism world is paying as much attention to the Giro d'Abruzzo as I am. nedboulting.substack.com/p/wars-acts-...

I was in Germany on November 9th 1989. And I was still there during reunification, but witnessed it mostly through a "Wessi" lens. This is an enlightening corrective that explains how the DDR was what it was and also casts a light on current politics in the East. Great book.
