Thinking of a drinking game for @hcrichardson.bsky.social politics chats. Drink every time she is reminded of the 1850s, 1890s, or the 1920s. But what drink should it be for each era?

Not that anyone needs a reminder but this man has the nuclear codes. Far too many people will just shrug this off or find some way to justify it. But Trump is unwell, incoherent, and a danger to us all.
Trump: "With the war, it's just artificial. It's a little bit high. It's a small price to pay ... let them take out Los Angeles, let them take out San Diego. This is a very small price to pay."

“Annihilating Iran”—which can only mean the widespread use of thermonuclear weapons against Iran’s nearly 100 million citizens—is, I’m afraid, the Chekov’s gun of Trump’s second term. He has spoken too often and too explicitly about unleashing such wanton destruction for it to be an idle threat.
TIME: You said you might annihilate Iran TRUMP: Yeah, I would do that. It's possible. TIME: How can the president of peace be calling for annihilation of an entire people? TRUMP: Bc by annihilating Iran, we've created peace in the world. With Iran, I don't think you could ever have peace.

Ken Paxton is saying Texans need to take a deeper look at the background of the candidates, which is why he's encouraging everyone to Google "Ken Paxton indictments" and "Ken Paxton divorce" and "Ken Paxton pedophile" to see that he has absolutely nothing to be ashamed of
Ken Paxton on James Talarico: “This guy has not been exposed for his record of eight years. The media doesn't cover it…Once we have the resources to expose his views, there's no way he's going to win Texas.”

Create the a new federal crime of Grand Corruption, applicable only to executive branch officials at the cabinet level and above, requiring corruption or fraud that substantially compromises the constitutional system or core interests of the US, and is a capital offense.
An actual Tough on Crime candidate would terrify the current regime.
