Opus 5.5 loves dropping wisdom bombs in a coding conventions doc. "Because the response that fails to land is the one that loses you a customer" Excuse me sir, this is a list of errors returned by an API endpoint. Not LinkedIn.

Opus 5.5 randomly chooses prepositions or ranks them by worst and picks the first one. "Five BFF routes have no spec at the API app"

I think the CLI for AI era is over. It was a nice little moment waiting for someone to build good desktop apps. Now the desktop apps are here and they're good.

Claude: X answers Y and B carries C while N answers P. A normal person: The API endpoint returns 400 and the response body contains the error message. Why does it pick the dumbest verbs and talk like nobody does. I just do not get what Anthropic have done so badly wrong here.

Why the hell does Opus 5.5 use ", and" to contrast to things. "The code is great, and the pull request was rejected" I have to read these sentences 5 times to work out "wait is the code great and everything is fine, or did something go wrong here?". What is wrong with but, however, yet...

I have so many grammar rules that it partially follows that I'm now resorting to hooks to identify invalid patterns and block tool calls and response. Just so I don't go mad reading it's insane output all day.

I’m over 40, and I was there, working in dotcom startups through the boom and the crash. The pattern described here matches what I saw then: huge hype, sensible-sounding scepticism, and real gains that took years to evenutally show up, often in places nobody was looking. 1/3

The Student List had no party machinery. It operated through university assemblies, protests and hiking between cities & towns. They had 2% of national TV political advertising airtime vs 93% for Vučić. This is one of the most remarkable grassroots democratic victories in modern European history.

Is Kimi cruising to save tyres or is he unable to shrug off Max? Leclerc also maintaining contact. And Max pits! #f1

Belgian commentators made a great point: Hamilton used to have amazing tyre deg at Merc and won a lot of 1 stop races. Now seems he's got it working with Kimi as well. #f1

Hamilton would have been fighting with Max without the VSC Awful day for Red Bull. Looming forward to Max's interview 😄 #f1

Leclerc 1.4 faster than Kimi there. Only 13 laps left though. Too late from Ferrari. Maybe they would have been in contention on a 1 stop. #f1

So Kimi in the pits. He will now be faster on fresher tyres. A safety car for Max seems the only route to victory now. Kimi had good pace on those older tyres. #f1

This is a proper race. Max doing quali laps for the whole race on soft tyres. Mercedes holding out on 1 stop. Ferrari still have a chance. #f1

Max about a second per lap faster. Will overcut Kimi and put on mediums vs Kimi on older hards at the end of the race. I feel like Kimi is still favourite here. #f1

I get the impression a fair few of these AI and tech influencers are not working on real projects. "Look I made this skill" and it's like some fisher price-level idea that falls apart in complex codebases. Yet people who work in industry are like "this guy is a genius".

Could be a great race tomorrow. I think Max and maybe even Ferrari or Norris could have good race pace. We often get SC or VSC here and tyre deg can slice things up. #f1

Used to love walking through the local market on weekends. Now it's just AI slop signs everywhere. I'll go home and cook a meal instead.

I've been on the z.ai coding plan for a couple of months. Great value for £14. Using GLM 5.3 flash on low thinking goes a long way. I actually find working with GLM 5.3 flash way more enjoyable than the 5.6 OpenAI models I was on a couple of months ago.
