Everyone's saying Trump's heinous comments about Rob Reiner are gonna be forgotten quickly. I'm gonna do my part to make sure we don't forget, and pin this reminder on my profile.

3 hours ago the Brazilian Supreme Court rejected any challenge to the election results. Just now Flavio Bolsonaro has dropped his objections. Lula is President it cannot be stopped, and Flavio Bolsonaro will be going on trial for corruption. And then to jail.

Get this motherfucker back on drugs so they'll have no choice but to fire him

RFK: "There's five hundred million Arabs in the world. And yet they don't produce science. They don't win the Nobel Prize. They don't win the Fields Prize. They don't win the Wolf Prize. They don't produce literature."

As a New Englander I'm PRAYING that he never learns about the Connecticut River

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

Trump's audience in Mississippi gives him a standing ovation after he promises them he won't rename the Mississippi River

If this is happening in Mississippi, I'd love to see him set foot in New England. There'd be nothing left of him by the time we're done.

FactPost@factpostnews.bsky.social

Trump is interrupted by a protester in Mississippi: "Shove that ballroom up your ass!"

Sports guys are alleged to be cool and tough, but Pat McAfee can't handle some college kids making fun of him. I once saw a comedy roast battle between a trans woman and a man with cerebral palsy, and they both went HARD. So to see him playing victim like he is just looks pathetic.

I don't intentionally seek out sportscasters, but I got stuck listening to the Pat McAfee Show at Buffalo Wild Wings once. So I'm very glad he's so Goddamn miserable right now.

Every time Obama says anything, trump is big mad like a triggered-ass snowflake PUSSY

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

Trump is BIG MAD about Obama saying the White House now looks like Saddam opened a Cheesecake Factory: "He's not a smart guy. He's not smart at all ... for you to say it's a Cheesecake Factory, that just shows why you were a lousy president"

Happy 8th birthday Red Dead Redemption 2! A gaming masterpiece in every conceivable way. It is almost overwhelming how much detail is in that game, and it gives me hope that Grand Theft Auto 6 will build on its already amazing foundation.

Yeah bitch I've been voting against you fuckers for years now and I'm damn proud of it. In fact, I'll keep doing it until you're all gone.

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

Trump says if Republicans lose the election it is votersโ€™ fault

I don't know what's crazier: the fact that Red Dead Redemption 2 came out 8 years ago today, or that the person who was president at the time is president now

Serbia defeated a 14 year regime backed by Putin. Brazil stopped a takeover supported by the richest techno-oligarchs on the planet and meddling by the American government. Hungary finally ousted Viktor Orbรกn earlier this year. They did it by voting. Never tell me voting is useless.

I am happy about Serbia and Brazil, even if neither one seems real. Israel is next, so I'm wondering if anyone more in the know than me has any sort of guess as to what could happen there?

Left: me seeing that the prediction markets were wrong about Lula Right: me realizing the prediction markets are predicting Democrats retake the House and Senate

between serbia, brazil, and hopefully november 3, a good reminder: voting works itโ€™s not the end, thereโ€™s always work to be done after the vote, but if you want to beat the motherfuckers and keep them out of power: vote your asses off

No. I refuse to believe Lula is actually about to win. Believing he's winning, only for Bolsonaro to win in the end? I can't handle having the rug pulled out on me like that. I'm Charlie Brown and I know Lucy's gonna move the football.

I'd like to believe this is a good sign for Talarico, but frankly Texas doesn't actually seem to like Ted Cruz that much so I doubt it. Remember, Al Franken liked Ted more than his fellow Senators, and he still hated Ted.

Thomas I-G@thomasig.bsky.social

"Ugh, Ted Cruz giving out the trophy" *Texas crowd giving OVERWHELMING boos* "Hahahahaha, Ted Cruz giving out the trophy"

The news in Brazil is likely not gonna be good. So it's nice to at least see this in Serbia.

I live in Massachusetts so the governor's race isn't competitive, but in a swing state it would be a problem that you can't skip the Democrat governor's ads on YouTube while for most of the republican challenger's ads, you can

Barney is the Nickelback of kid shows: a popular comedic target, but there are still some passionate defenders out there. Caillou is the Yoko Ono of kid shows: EVERYONE hates it.

When you see a poll saying Democrats are favored to win big in the midterms, it's okay to feel excited. It's not okay to get complacent and not vote. And it's really friggin lame to piss and moan about polls are never correct (which is provably wrong).

Also, I don't care what any single person's opinion is as to what qualifies as a "very nice and fancy restaurant" I don't want the White House to look like a "very nice and fancy restaurant"

The important thing to remember about this person is that she's selling a book where she talks about Democrats being out of touch

To protest Obama about to head to The Cheesecake Factory (or as Cheesecake Heads know: โ€œThe Factoryโ€) with my beautiful wife and my two boys, Vladimir and Saddam

I consider myself a moderate, but between liberal and leftist. I support trans rights and freeing Palestine, but I also show up and vote blue no matter who.

๐Ÿ“ŒI saw Obama speak a couple of times in the lead up to the disastrous 2024 election. He was melancholy and clearly worried. I left those speeches dragging that worry with me. The Obama I saw today in Ohio was energized, optimistic and dealing fire. I saw the finest political leader in my lifetime.

This helped a little after doomscrolling about Brazil

Barack Obama: When you've been campaigning as long as I have, you can tell when an election comes along that just feels a little bit different. After 2 years of chaos, cruelty, corruption, and incompetence, the likes of which we have not seen in modern times, you get a chance to say enough is enough

Every election on EARTH now is like playing Russian Roulette. Can't we go back to how it was in 2012? Literally the most low-stakes "who even cares" election ever. We didn't know how good we had it!
