Today at Grammie’s Farm we have a Fly with only One Left Wing Me considering saving this guys life and then realizing the cats would murder him in 2 seconds, also I hate flies. But I can’t turn away a wounded animal and apparently insect.

I will conclude this quiet Friday bird hour unless things get wild and crazy up here with the little Sparrow that has been hanging around in the cedars, lilacs and Peony bushes for cover. I think she nests with the Juncos in the dense cedars next door but I’m hoping she picks our yard this year.

Correction, Berwick Wren checked back in at the Manor on September 26th of this year. Last year he did not make his presence known officially until the new year but evidence was seen by eating the left over Halloween 🎃 Pumpkins and Seeds being found everywhere…..we thought it was rats 🐀….It was Wren

Take note. The wren was Fine!! He did not care about his old nest. I put it back up & he did not want it. He wanted the new ones to make new nests. He has started 3 holes in the new one with wires. I already thinking how to make a moss planter next year with a box insert that they may choose to use

Berwick Wren has been back since the start of October and is up to 4 potential nesting spots he’s making in the hanging planters. I’m being a bad host. Last night I scared him at 10pm and he flew out at me. (Nest isn’t finished & barely holding onto his spot) And this morning he flew into window
