Ronald Reagan has a message for MAGA as Trump escalates the trade war with Canada: “We should beware of the demagogues who are willing to declare a trade war against our friends, weakening our economy, our national security, and the entire free world, all while cynically waving the American flag.”

The law firm Paul Weiss was a progressive stalwart for decades and led the legal resistance against President Trump in his first term. Then it surrendered without a fight. A New York Times investigation details the inside story of its transformation. trib.al/YQawT9z

Remarkable camera angle of President Trump as he listens to Wall Street Journal reporters receiving an award for their investigation into Trump’s relationship with Jeffrey Epstein — which they pursued despite Trump’s threats and lawsuit.

So henceforth and forever more, it will be completely accurate—and utterly inactionable under the common and constitutional law of defamation—to state the following fact: DONALD J. TRUMP IS AN ADJUDICATED RAPIST.

When you see the story about how the world now has its first trillionaire, and when you see the story about how laboratories in Congo have run out of supplies to test for Ebola, it is important to understand that in many ways these are the same story.

The world’s first trillionaire is a sad day for humanity. That it’s an unscrupulous ketamine-fueled white supremacist hellbent on amplifying fascism across the globe, should be absolutely terrifying.

This pre-IPO report on SpaceX covers points that haven't been as broadly covered: 1) The magnitude of xAI's drag on SpaceX earnings 2) Most of the $75B in IPO proceeds go to xAI 3) Beware of the SpaceX options market, given its thin float (Paywall removed) bradmunchen.substack.com/p/spacex-ipo...

bradmunchen.substack.comSpaceX IPO Looks Wobbly & Early Unlocked Selling Could Dampen the Passive SqueezeThe IPO is only 3.3x oversubscribed as of yesterday, with books closing after today's market close. Things look wobbly, but there's a lot of financial engineering that went into this.

As I have been saying for a while this is going to happen and we need to start talking about it and pushing for it. We have to MAKE it happen If we take the defeatist approach that some Dems take—that he'll just magically disappear, or that we can just wait until Jan. 2029, ... (1/3)

Support for impeaching Trump is at 55%, according to a new Strength In Numbers/ @Verasight.io poll, with 37% of adults opposed. Crucially 1 in 5 of Trump’s own voters support impeachment. Read and share: www.gelliottmorris.com/p/2026-04-22...

There’s plenty of evidence the Trump regime is increasingly untethered from reality. Yesterday gave us four doozies. Is it Pulp—or Pope—Fiction? My write-up in the replies.

Trump advisers think the age of imperialism ended because of wokeness, not because 1) colonized peoples made colonialism untenable 2) technology made territorial empire unnecessary. They thought mere brutality and perceived genetic superiority would make wars against countries like Iran easy.

All this was a choice. I can’t get over how all of this was a choice. A plurality of American voters saw corruption, bigotry, pandemic, economic crisis, coup attempt, and criminal conviction, then opted for more.

Also Trump hasn't ruled out using the Insurrection Act. He isn't going to leave legally or peacefully or quietly unless he dies.

Sadly, this is about the next election. He’s laying the groundwork to declare his election “emergency” to change rules and argue to courts they can’t question his national security judgment in war time. And if the Court does, he’s preparing to say that’s beyond their constitutional powers.

I feel this so strongly. Covid was a test of our moral integrity & decency -- *not just elites, but all of us* -- and we failed. I genuinely think one reason Covid has been memory-holed so hard, & so crusted w/ myths & conspiracy theories, is that on some level we know this & are ashamed.

Asawin Suebsaeng@swin24.bsky.social

A remarkably disheartening thing is you get the sense there are a handful of genuine historic fork in the road moments of what kind of country we want in our lifetime, and I still can’t shake how much during the height of Covid we had a decision of what lessons we’d all take from it and what…

"Unlike the 'meritocracy' they are trying to build in which white men are restored to their proper dominance, the Olympics are pretty close to a true meritocracy. Conservatives can’t whine that Simone Biles or Chloe Kim must have gotten their spots by pushing aside a more 'qualified' white athlete."

publicnotice.coYeah, US Olympians are woke. Deal with it.Sports have always been political — it's just a question of who's speaking out.

Two-thirds of Americans believe Trump has "gone too far" with ICE. The cruelty & extremism is out of control. Our new ad features Joe Rogan asking "Are we really going to be the Gestapo?...Is that what we've come to?" Check it out & share.

This is the ad that Fox News does NOT want you to see. Fox News rejected our newest ad, which demonstrates that Trump has “gone too far” with ICE. But we will not remain silent in the face of these attacks. Share our ad and follow @usjewishdems.bsky.social to join us in the fight.

DHS should be embarrassed that their ICE agent hires are so soft they can’t handle being videotaped, even while masked, so they resort to pepper spraying women at close range. And we should be proud of the Santa Barbara women who stood their ground anyway.

It's been fun seeing The Consultants lose their mind about how they don't get this ad, which is the coolest shit she's done yet. (Also, yes, that's Matt Mercer, who I've come to learn since this ad dropped is more famous than Michael Jordan.)
