I’m majoring in cybersecurity, which I’ve heard is a hard field to get into right now, but it’s one I’m genuinely interested in. Like I’m about to take a digital forensics class. That’s some cool ass shit right there

Happy New Year everyone! I hope it’s a better one than last year.

2025 was pretty rough for me. I had to take 3 months off from work (unpaid of course), struggled greatly with my mental health, had my partner lose his job mere days after Christmas, and find out at the last minute that I can’t afford my insurance plan anymore. Among other things.

I’m not trying to be a downer, but things aren’t looking up for me. 2026 is going to be an uphill battle. Which is likely title for a lot of us. I just hope it manages to be better for everyone, I’m trying to hold on to that small sliver of hope. #newyearsthoughts #2026

Also this might sound counterintuitive and silly, but I kinda miss when OS settings were buried in menus. Because at least then I had more control. Everything has to be streamlined now. I know it’s more “user friendly” now but still.

Just had an “I’m becoming my parents” moment while checking out a customer yesterday. I had to verify their email for every single digital game they bought, to make sure they got the code. I couldn’t help but think “I miss the days when we just bought the physical game and went about our day.”

I hate that we’re getting to a point where we can’t instantly tell if something is AI. It’s made me suspicious of any new artist or band I encounter. I love finding new art and music… provided it is made by humans and not a computer.
